  1. Living in Seattle as I do, At Bat is definitely worth it. It's a great way to ensure you don't miss any of Cory and Dazzle's....ummmm....inanity, shall we say.
  2. I personally like to call him SpongeRob GrossPants. Someone better than I with photoshop can surely do something with this.
  3. Dozier for De Leon and Alvarez, settle for Buehler if you have to, or even take back some salary to get all three. It's an immediate upgrade to the rotation, and Alvarez can team with Romero to be a potential second ace in 2-4 years.
  4. I'm with Leviathan. They aggressively outbid other teams for a player who struggles with traditional stats, but looks good when viewed as a platoon hitter/advanced metric defender. If you can find one instance of TR & Co. doing that, I'll eat my shoe.
  5. Oh, definitely, Sano should play some third the rest of the year, and when he's not at third, Polanco should be. That of course assumes Molitor has the stones and/or the direction from the FO to sit at least one of Mauer or Plouffe every night. Somehow I doubt it.
  6. I don't like the idea of Sano playing third less than a week after an MRI. Negative or not, his elbow wasn't right, he's already had TJ, and it's a lost season--why risk anything? If you didn't want Mauer in the field, just put Vargas at first, since he needs to be further evaluated anyways.
  7. Can anyone else envision, in a couple of years, the Twins go to the ninth with a lead: the brights are turned down, the videoboard off. Then the PA announcer shouts "Light's out!" as some rocking song blares, the lights come back on, and Pat sprints out from the pen. Would that, or would that not, be the greatest closer entrance ever?
  8. Upton has 60 strikeouts in 148 AB's this year. That makes Rosario look disciplined.
  9. Of course it would. After all, Chief is Cain.
  10. I had no idea Pat Proft posts on Twins Daily!
  11. Bert talking about pitching tents is...disturbing.
  12. Catchers batting .158 should definitely hit monster homeruns, right?
  13. Dick: "a homerun here scores 4". I'll just let that one sit.
  14. If Danny Santana is 0-10 batting right-handed, why would we let him bat against lefties?
  15. Bert: "so far the Twins have their hitting shoes on". I DEMAND TO KNOW WHY THE TWINS HAVE NOT BEEN WEARING THESE SHOES ALL YEAR!!!!
  16. Can we have both Park and Sano in the HR derby please?
  17. Coke Zero is unique amongst pops in that it has both the brand name, and the amount of flavor in that name.
  18. Bert: "23 of the 29 homeruns the Twins have hit have all been solo homeruns". 60% of the time, Bert is right every time.
  19. No offense to anyone else who does these game threads, but I don't know that this one can ever be topped. We should just dispense with the 5 point intros from here on out.
  20. Trust me, if my written words had that kind of power, the winning powerball ticket would not have been sold in Trenton.
