  1. Fun Fact 3: Rosario, Park, Sano, and Buxton have combined for 21 total bases, but 44 strikeouts.
  2. Fun Fact 2: Joe Mauer leads the Twins in RBI. He is tied for 103rd overall amongst all players.
  3. Fun Fact: Trevor Story has as many RBI as the entire Twins team combined.
  4. Not a fan of the wise-ass answer I see.
  5. I'm open to either opinion. Given that Suzuki, Buxton, and Dozier are all below Mendoza, I don't think it's the worst thing in the world to assume you're not going to get 2 hits from those three.
  6. Danny just said Eaton plays hard. Which of course is why he has to be pinch hit for in any game that lasts more than 4 hours.
  7. I could be wrong, but I'm betting the rules prohibit Brunansky from hitting. At least legally.
  8. That is a radical concept, hold on while I check the unwritten rules.
  9. It wasn't a ridiculous decision, just a bad idea to have Suzuki bunt. Bring in Nunez, and then have JRM catch the rest of the game. Oh wait, I forgot, if we do that, we don't have a third catcher, which means we'd have to give up our DH if Murphy were to get a sunflower seed in his eye somehow.
  10. Because the rules of baseball dictate that all players playing in the field must also bat, except for the pitcher, unless you're playing in a national league park, in which case the pitcher must also bat.
  11. Because he didn't touch home plate before being tagged.
  12. How did Mauer get to third on that, but Plouffe couldn't get to second? Did it kick out towards second?
  13. My two honest theories are that he's not comfortable in the cold or that playing in the outfield is messing with him.
  14. Joe Mauer now has 9 hits. That's as many as Plouffe, Sano, and Buxton combined.
  15. Let's have some fun! Who finishes this game with more strikeouts? The Twins have 4 through 5, the White Sox have 3 through 5.2. Choose either... White Sox plus 3 Twins
  16. Sorry, that's the song name. The band is Borns.
  17. Is anyone else getting auto-play ads? I can't even see where it is on the page, but I'm still hearing it.
  18. Danny just mentioned the Sox would be 5-2 on the road with a win today. I wasn't aware the Sox no longer call the South Side home.
  19. Note to Danny--can it with bunt talk every time Buxton comes up. We get it, he's fast.
  20. I think Mauer is too busy pushing buttons on his recording equipment in his studio, and Perkins is engrossed with arguing on twitter.
  21. Technically, all AB's are PA's. Actually too.
  22. Cool! That and $3.50 will get you a nice cup of coffee from Starbucks!
  23. Dave St. Peter does a commercial for Minnesota Eye Consultants where he mentions that several Twins players have gotten their lasik there. Given the team's (lack of a) batter's eye, Minnesota Eye Consultants might want to re-write the copy on that one...
