    So Baltimore appealed as to whether Park left early. How many times in the history of appeals has an umpire ever determined a player did leave early? Can we just stop with this?

    Danny mentioned a couple innings back that he stole 10 bases in Korea. One assumes he meant just last year, but absent further data, it could mean his entire life. That was all just a long way for me to say I have no idea.

    After that HBP, Cory Provus mentioned that it was "thankfully not a fastball". If there's any physics professors out there, is there really that much difference in force between an 81 mph pitch, and a 95 mph pitch?

    I think it's ridiculous when people think the front office is incompetent and doesn't know what they're doing. But this sort of thing makes it hard to defend that position.

    I believe I recall Provus saying a lot of the people left. Can't say I blame them, given how this was mismanaged.

    I agree with this, and that was what I was trying to get at--a Rosario-Buxton-Hicks outfield is one of the three best, if not THE best, defensive outfields in baseball. Even if both of those would have been hits, and even if they would have resulted in the same outcomes, that's not going to be the case throughout the year. We took an elite strength, and reduced it to maybe a strength. If JRM can't push Zuke out of the starting spot at some point this year, that's a problem.
