    I'd agree, other than the start of point 4 is "I wouldn't blame Colabello or anyone...". Just my opinion, obviously, but if I don't blame someone, then I don't think they did anything wrong, vis a vis debating the morality of someone's action(s).

    Sure, if all that matters to you is the outcome, but not the process. Chris Colabello, either actively or through negligence, circumvented the well-established and well-known rules of his profession. Simply because "it's just a game" or "just for entertainment" doesn't make it ok on a personal level, and just as we would condemn that behavior in our politicians, we should condemn it in all people. Now, I don't think the punishment should be the same, because the impact, as you said, is apples and oranges. But morality and right and wrong shouldn't be based on the number of people hurt/affected.

    I completely agree that there is a big difference in importance and impact, but it doesn't change the reality of what one is doing. Either it's cheating or it's not. Just because it's only a dollar doesn't make taking a candy bar from Target without paying not stealing.

    Except that every team has a training staff that can be called year-round, and asked questions about any kind of supplement. If he truly isn't trying to cheat, why wouldn't he call and say someone just gave me supplement X, is that ok for me to take? He's either lying about not knowing how it got in his system, or reckless to the point of stupidity.

    Not looking to start something here, but if I'm understanding your first 4 points correctly, you have no problem with cheating so long as it's done in the pursuit of a dream with sizable financial upside. So for example, you are all good with someone who's dream is to be President stuffing the ballot box in order to ensure election.
