  1. I think the addition of Roden has lit a fire under Wallner and Larnach. Abel looks able and Urena will have to find a new role. We may have found the Jose Ramierez remedy! He is now 1 for 11 versus his fellow Ramierez!
  2. If I'm a prospective buyer of the club not having to pay an aging shortstop 30 million would be a lot more attractive. Correa is what he is. We would miss his solid error free, plus plus arm, his veteran presence, but I will not miss his lack of clutch hitting and his very predictable GIDPs. I don't hate hm, but let's give some of kids a chance.
  3. Walker Jenkins Discerning eye, can bunt, steal bases (even third), fields his position, and has power potential.Luke Keaschall Adds speed, excitement to the MLB team!Kaelen Culpepper Answering a lot of doubters!Emmanuel Rodriguez Needs to get healthy.Gabriel GonzalezMarco RayaConnor PrielippDasan HillCharlee SotoPayton EelesBrandon WinokurAndrew MorrisNoah CardenasMarek HoustonRiley QuickKyle DeBargeCJ CulpepperBilly AmickKhadim DiawQuentin Young
  4. Ohtani hit a Duran splinker at 98mph to the opposite field 400 ft. Wow! The Dodgers need BP help. What do they have to offer? Pages perhaps? Half the LA crowd lived up to their one foot out the door reputation and listened to Ohtani's epic blast riding on the freeway.
  5. Ironically, the two most criticized FO moves (Bader and France) have been keeping us ahead of the White Sox (barely). Bader is a high wire act that is fun to watch
  6. If you can't win championships at least be entertaining! Bader is a high wire act. Highlight reel to what was he thinking, it is fun to watch. Remember he is replacing Manny Margot who was not much fun to watch!
  7. Willie Castro is tied for the best era on the team, best batting average, tied for HR leade all while playing 4 positions! MVP! We have a K-Mart version of Ohtani right here! Enjoy....
  8. The home plate ump was horrible (for both teams), but Ober can't visibly display it like he did. St. Louis was crushing balls against him. I don't think the White Sox will be as compliant as last year. On the bright side the Saints look like a juggernaut!
  9. Bold prediction: Both Bader and Gasper will get more pinch hits than Margot!
  10. Pitchers that rely on their changeups like Radke and Lopez get better as the game goes because they establish their fastballs early to set up the change. Teams tend to jump on these pitchers early.
  11. The Saints should be really good this year and fun to watch!
  12. ....or Pablo Lopez....
  13. Just don't bring him in with the go ahead run at third!
  14. I watched Walker Jenkins lay down a bunt then steal 2nd & 3rd! I hope Rocco wasn't watching!
  15. My bold prediction: He has more pinch hits than Margot and will play better defense. (not exactly a high bar)
  16. There's still room on the Eeles train! Small players always play with a chip on their shoulders, always having to prove themselves. Small strike zones, big attitude....sign me up!
  17. And embarrassment of riches? Indeed! As the #1 Payton Eeles fan in TD, I can't wait for February to see how all this sorts out. Peace in the new year everyone.
  18. Kirby Puckett, between the lines was beloved for the way he played the game and his charisma. Off the field he was a flawed human being. Dan Gladden had fights with teammates in Minnesota, Detroit, and San Francisco yet he brought a "win-at-all-costs" attitude to the team. AJ was 86ed out of San Fran because he was, quote, "a clubhouse cancer". Winning does cure a lot of ills and if you are a diva like Barry Bonds, you overlook a lot of stuff!
  19. Reminds me of how SWR was rarely talked about despite great numbers in the second half of 2023. He is very young and did well (SSS) with the big club in September.
  20. Love me some Payton Eeles! Little guy has a huge chip on his shoulder to prove everyone wrong. A player needs to play in MLB with that chip.
  21. SSS alert! When I saw him in Cedar Rapids he hit a double to left-center, ground ball hit to right, and placed a perfect bunt down third and proceeded to steal 2nd & third. I met him and his Grandpa afterward. This kid is a specimen! Big strong hands for a 19 year-old. SSS....but wow!
  22. A tad high ranking, but it will be interesting climb. I hope to see him in Cedar Rapids next season. Patience is the watch word (remember Luis Gil).
  23. Remember that we are talking about a 5th starter. Odds are at least one of these young men makes a great 5th starter. That Saints staff should be fun to watch.

  24. I love me some Payton Eeles. Little guys play with big chips on their shoulders! He makes things happen which was sorely missing from the big league club this year!
