  1. When was part of a season ticket group at the Dome, if someone was abusive, profane, or overserved we would get security involved. I remember Jim Eisenreich's treatment from, ironically, Boston fans when he was dealing with his tourette's. Heckling is part of the game, but.....
  2. If Outman was coming off a good, productive year at the plate, you give him some time to come around. He is who we thought he was.....Fedko can steal a base as a pinch runner as well.
  3. Duly noted: Wallner and Bell are on pace for 30 HR seasons, we are getting very little production from Buck so far, Carafini ha been solid with men on base. Also (breaking news): starting pitching can carry a team! Haters can go fishing or whatever you do. I'm just really enjoying this ride. "Babe" Fedko is waiting in the wings!
  4. I called for Lee to be sent to AAA on Thursday. Time to get out my Crow recipe book again.
  5. Yesterday I called for sending Brooks down and DFAing Outman. I may have to drag out my crow cook book again. Taste like chicken!
  6. Like many on Twins Daily I've eaten my fair share of crow. I may even write a cook book on the many ways to prepare crow. Yum! The front office like other front office's take risks. Some pay off (Nellie Cruz for Joe Ryan), and some don't. Brian Sebean was responsible for a couple of SF Gants championship runs, yet he traded for A.J.! It's early in the evaluation process. Meh signings of Carafini and Bell are looking very astute for example. My newest "eat crow" statement: Brooks Lee should be sent to AAA and James Outman DFAed. If those guys turn into All-Stars, let the dining begin! Knives out!
  7. Anyway you look at it, he does not have the potential skillset worth giving him this much runway. Even Outman can at least steal a base.Lee, unfortunately, is not Kyle Farmer competent at Short, does not hit for power, doesn't have a strong arm, and is slow. I would love to see him prove me wrong, but seeing Culpepper perform has me dreaming of a new tomorrow.
  8. Houston hitting, very encouraging for sure (SSS). Culpepper is moving to the top of the prospect list. This guy looks like the real deal. Even his outs have been hit with authority' How long can they keep Roden down? He definitely looks like he doesn't belong in AAA.
  9. Rosario was MVP of the Midwest League then almost MVP at Wichita. The crowded outfield in St. Paul would appear to be the only thing holding him down.
  10. Austin Martin continued to do what he does best: put the ball in play and be aggressive on the bases. Analytics hate his style, but he puts pressure on defenses more often than not and seems to put up good AB's most of the time. Home runs are sexy, but you need guys like Dan Gladden and Martin to fire up a lineup.
  11. Greg Gagne was a big part of our championship teams without a big offensive profile. Houston has only to hit as well as Gagne.....not a high bar.....IMHO
  12. Larnach taking innings and AB's from Martin is concerning. Outman surely is on probation. I don't like Roden taking AB's from our top prospects. I think by May 1st we will look a lot different and...hopefully....not too buried in the standings.
  13. A real change in philosophy would be "risking" someone claiming a DFAed Outman and swallowing the 5 million dollar tendering to Larnach. Sending Roden to AAA would just take AB's away from Gabby, Erod and Jenkins. If someone claims either Larnach or Outman then they are very desparate for outfield help. At this point nobody is giving more than a box of baseballs for Larnach.
  14. Royce doesn't do slumps, but it's getting harder to remember when he wasn't in one.
  15. Great minds think alike! Gabby's approach reminds me a bit of Luis Arraez. Viva Gabby!
  16. I feel Gabby is consistently undervalue. Very hitterish, with decent power and decent glove. The chemistry between the three reminds me of Hrbek/Gaetti waiting for their big chance. It is coming and it will be fun to watch!
  17. A lot of 20/20 guys sitting in St.Paul this year. Erod, Jenkins, Gabby, and Fedko have so much potential and will be fun to watch. Oops, I left off Culpepper!
  18. Amazing honor for someone who has never mastered play by play. A quick hint; You are on the radio, please paint a picture for us.
  19. Nobody chased out of zone breaking balls more than Greg Gagne. He had a nice career here. And Greg was fast, but rarely stole bases.
  20. It's been a lot of fun watching Erod and Gabby this Spring. They have great chemistry. With the winning run on third Emma didn't get a pitch to drive, took his walk and pointed his bat at Gabby as if to say, "You got this big guy". .......and he did......game over!
