  1. I saw that on Wikipedia (not 100% accuturate), but I've also seen 72-hours from Sports Illustrated and ESPN.
  2. That's interesting. The article I read said 3 days not games.
  3. Brock, you should update the Twins rotation for the series as I believe that it is Correia, Pelfrey and Worley.
  4. Actually Arcia will only play today and tomorrow (assuming the games are played). Ramirez will be back on Wednesday (at least he will be back on the roster). He was placed on the paternity list after Satuday's game and can only be gone 3 days (not games): Sunday, Monday and Tuesday). So Arcia's stint will be 2 games.
  5. How couldn't it not be more environmentally friendly? I'm sure the hot water used to melt the snow comes from the stadium's water collection system and that water and the melted snow will go right back into it.
  6. Back when Quentin was with the White Sox, didn't he get pissed off after striking out and broke his own wrist by slamming it into the bat?
  7. I want to add that it appears the Twins do have this free perk for ST Holders. But it is for a limited number of games (all on weeknights) and has limited supply (good for you and 1 guest).
  8. Since the capacity dropped by 500, I assume that seats were removed (actually I believe that area was benches anyway).
  9. I agree with this. I would've let Correia start the 8th, but I would've had Burton ready to go instead of just having him start warming up after the damage was already done. It's a similar situation with Parmelee over the weekend. Parmelee pinch hit late in the game and Baltimore didn't have a lefty warming up so he had to leave the righty in to pitch to Parm and he came through with a SF.
  10. Apparently Mastro's foot can't handle the rigors of 9 innings yet.
  11. De Vries isn't scheduled to pitch until Sunday so there is no rush to DL him. They can wait to see how his bullpen session on Friday goes. If they have to they can DL him on Saturday and call up Hernandez or the could even activate Diamond. It's not like he is an everyday player and they are playing shorthanded.
  12. I have both the Samsung galaxy s3 and the tab and both come up with the mobile skin.
  13. The bigger question is now that Burnett is officially gone from the system will Hicks take his number (31) or will he stay with 32?
  14. While Robertson will be there opening day, he won't be by the time they come back from their road trip to Baltimore and KC. I imagine that Swarzak will be activated by the time that the Twins get back home to play the Mets and that Robertson will be optioned to Rochester.
  15. What I am curious to know is where did the $6M loss in operating income from the year before. If you compare Forbes' list from last year the Revenue and Player Expenses were almost the same, yet Operating Income went down $6M
  16. Here is Forbes' footnote regarding Operating Income: Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization.
  17. Not quite, they have to bump someone from the 40-man so they can add Ramirez.
  18. I'm not 100% sure, but I seem to recall it being done before.
  19. It is probably the "best" time for Hendricks to get this minor injury. It was his last start of ST and he won't pitch in the regular season until the first road trip (4/5-7). So he can stay back in Florida and rest for a few days, pitch in a minor league game on Sunday, Monday or Tuesday and be ready to go for his "next" start.
  20. I agree that the w/l record wasn't Gardy's fault. But the appearance that he lost control of the team and that the younger players quit playing for him is his fault.
  21. While I wish they could go with 1 lineup on a regular basis, but as I was watching the game on Saturday against the Rays, they mentioned that Maddon used 150 different lineups last year.
  22. I agree with this. Also the Twins could protect themselves by front loading the contract to account for the possible diminishing returns on the later years of the contract.
  23. Seth, Where would the roster space on the 40-man for Ramirez come from? Will the DFA someone or will the take the temporary easy route and put Guerra on the 60 Day DL (Nevermind, I see this isn't an option since Guerra isn't on the 40-man anyway)?
