  1. Pretty sure he was safe. As bad as the slide was, the catcher positioning was worse
  2. The real issue isn't Vazquez getting playing time. Who GAF? Gaspar has less business getting ABs than Vazquez. The real issue is Falvine putting the Twins in a position of Vazquez being their 2nd best C option and ZERO depth in the minors. Not having ANYone more deserving right now of playing time. They have been exceptionally lucky not to have suffered any injuries at C for basically forever.
  3. Someone let Corey and Hawk know Keirsey has seen his last day as a MN Twin.
  4. We're sorry, "yes" is the answer we were looking for
  5. Yeah I dont understand where this idea comes from that Martin can play OF. He was awful before.
  6. Wallner's been taking better ABs recently.
  7. Explain to me how Rojas is a "successful LH starter." He's thrown 41.2 innings this season. Never more than 84 in any season. Five starts above A ball one at AAA.
  8. It's fine to be optimistic. It's another to say "Rojas will be ready early in 2026." Rojas has 5 starts above A ball. Five. Hes never thrown more than 84 innings in a season and has 41.2 so far this season. He's not going to be part of the 2026 rotation. How could he be?
  9. Sucking for a couple years is no guarantee you're a "95 win or more team" in 3-4. If only it were that easy.
  10. I hope to hell Rocco doesn't waste any ABs on Fitzpatrick or Gaspar. I mean, the situation is bad enough. Let's not waste development time for Lee by giving some of it to Ryan Fitzpatrick. I dont have much hope Lee is going to reward that playing time down the road, but his chances are 1M times greater than Fitzpatrick.
  11. I said the same, in this very thread. Which has zero to do with the question of "Should the Twins hire a new manager?" Which has zero to do with who owns the team.
  12. Yeah. I don't know about this. I mean, there's a lot of love for ownership around here.
  13. Whether or not the team is sold should have zero effect on retaining a poor manager. Sheesh.
  14. I disagree with the premise that bullpens are easy to build. Its relative child's play, for example, to fix first base. Just takes money or a single trade. Fixing a bullpen takes a half dozen or more successes. And ultimately the bullpen is way more important.
  15. Im as PO'd as anyone about the disaster of a deadline day, but to be fair we can't really expect the bullpen not to suck. You can't take the top 2/3rds off any bullpen and expect to be able to reconstruct it in August. I doubt you can do it two Augusts from now.
  16. "Building a bullpen is cake. Easy peasy"
  17. Prolly said this a half dozen times but I was at the Met for Eddie's debut
