The truth is, I have the Extra Innings pkg and usually watch at least one game per series on the other team's broadcast. Dick is above average, IMO. Bert has grown pretty stale, though. One more data point on why I mistrust prospects. Every. Single. One. Buxton was ranked the number 1 or 2 prospect by all three major services for 3 yrs running. Career minor league numbers of .302/.379/.504. I think the best use of minor leaguers is often to use them to get major leaguers.

I think the point being made was, with a bottom three of Buxton, Adrianza, Wilson, it doesn't matter WHO you bring in. You don't have to bring in a reliever. With Buxton struggling, the bottom third of the Twins order is like three NL pitchers in a row. And you are going to struggle to consistently score when a third of your lineup is a black hole.

I'm skeptical Kepler has truly become capable of sustained hitting vs LH pitching, but I'll say this much. He's done a really nice job of it all year so far, and it hasn't looked lucky in the least.
