  1. Bring him up to play CF, and send Buxton down to Rochester to tell him to figure it out!
  2. As I said in an earlier post, it's also possible that the Twins were not impressed with Carlson.
  3. My opinion is that the Twins were not that impressed with Carlson. If they were, they would have drafted and signed him!
  4. Twins need pitching. Wouldn't be disappointed if they take pitchers for first 10 rounds!
  5. I understand that, Steve. But wouldn't the team that drafted him at 15 own his rights, and say sign with us for xxx or go to college?
  6. Can someone please explain to me how the Twins would have a chance to sign Baz at #35? Why wouldn't he sign with the team that drafted him at, say 10-15 or so? I realize he says he going to college, but I don't get how he'd be around at #35?
  7. I'd go with Gore, too, especially if they could save some money to use with their second and third picks.
  8. The Twins have only played 48 games. As Aaron Rogers would say -RELAX! These are the guys that always break our hearts!!
  9. How many of the following are on another major league roster? Wilk Breslow Haley Presley Tepesch So the pitchers at AAA or AA are worse than these guys?
  10. Apparently the new front office's philosophy is to pick up cast-offs from other teams and hope they'll end up with some "diamonds in the rough." We were told for years that the young guys the Twins drafted 3-4 years ago would be studs. They've stock piled hard throwers who were supposed to be the Twins' future stars. So instead, we choose a guy who was released from the Mets so they could start Tommy f-ing Malone? This organization is a disgrace! The only saving grace will be that the team will be so awful no one will come to watch, and then maybe they can get serious about putting a decent product on the field.
  11. I wonder how the Twins are going to sell tickets. The novelty of seeing games at Target Field is gone. Coming out of spring training, this is not an exciting group to watch, nor is it a team that is going to win games. Honestly, I have lost interest in this organization: you can say they did little, if anything (other than the Castro signing) to improve the team over the winter. They have made the roster older. The Park move is mind-boggling ( if you are trying to put the best players on the field to start the season). Their 3 man bench consists of 2 utility guys and a back-up catcher. The organization's roster construction is just bizarre! The TD partisans will beg us to give the new regime time. How long do we have to wait for this team to field a major league product?
  12. Pats win 28-13 Danny Amendola- 3 TD's, 180 yards receiving.
  13. I would like to see the boys go after Guillon. Let's face it- the Twins are likely to lose 100+ games again this year, and they obviously could stash Guillon someplace in the pen and let him face lefties for awhile. Or he could come up with a misterious injury that would place him on the DL for part of the year. Doc's reference to Johan is enough for me to go along with the 100,000 gamble.
  14. I agree with Shane- starting SS. He actually is NOT horrible, and would be a great bridge to 2018. His bat will make up for a lot of defensive questions.
  15. Isn't anyone going to comment on Buxton's hot dog non catch? Inning would likely have gone significantly differently. Or is it people just don't care?
  16. Gotta admire Anthoy for being a loyal employee. But it's more than time to look for some new blood. Get the dynamite out!
  17. I don't especially dislike Park. But. Park has had 93 more AB's than Arcia. I could live with Arcia being DFA'd if the Twins had said: " OK Ozzie, you are going to play every day for 3 weeks. Against right and left handlers. If you strikeout 3-4 times a game ( kinda like Buxton and Park), you'll still be in the lineup the next day. Play hard." Then, if he failed, move on.By moving him, they have essentially have said there is no room on the worse team in baseball for him.
  18. Hey Jeremy-what about the kid from Duluth that had 30+ homers this year? Is he a descent prospect?
  19. ........throwing out about 73% of would-be base stealers.........that must be some sort of record!
  20. Let's face it: the only players other teams would be interested in-Berrios, Gorden, Stewart, Gonsalves, and Jay- are in the minors!
  21. Glad he's having some success, but I hope he doesn't come up until he's crushing Triple A pitching. I agree with tobi, another couple hundred AB's in Rochester would be fine with me. He's not going to make any difference this year, and when he comes back up, I hope it's forever.
