    Escobar’s career has been on the rise- why trade him? Even if he’s used as a super utility player in the future- he has tremendous value. Imagine where the Twins would be without him the last 2 years!

    I would hate to trade Gibson, but the Twins do not have a viable 3rd base option in their organization, other than Escobar (Sano is not an option). Is Escobar is traded, do you think McMahon is the long term solution at 3rd, Jeremy?

    Your comments are spot on-especially the first paragraph. I don’t want to make a generalization, but most TD posters are extremely knowledgeable, caring, and enthusiastic supporters of the Twins. I realize I don’t have enough information to really understand the inner workings of an organization, but some of the roster is so mind boggling, it defies any reasonable logic or possible explanation. The FO should be happy that we still care enough to complain!

    Sorry, Seth, I never saw/heard any reference to Belisle and why he is rostered. And I think you missed the jist of my post: if the fans are supposed to support and stick with a poor team when things are tough and losing is a comman occurrence, is it wrong to expect that team to put their best 25 players on the field for each and every game? (Unless winning isn’t the goal) None of us has your knowledge of current and future player’s skills and ability that you do. You ‘da man! But as a fan who loves the Twins and follows every game, it is hard to explain away what is going on with Magill, for example. If Molitor isn’t going to use him, bring up someone he will use! It’s not rocket science. If Garver is so bad, why not play him now to see if he can improve? What’s to lose? My personal question is why Gonsalves hasn’t been given a chance, when 4 other pitchers rated lower than him have already been called up? I’m sure he has an attitude problem or is a poor teammate, and the organization is sending him a message. Whatever. I do think it’s fair for fans to ask these questions. Sorry, if I don’t remember Molitor being asked those questions. I watch every game. And postgame. And read the StarTribs sports section every day. And maybe that’s why I’m called a fan-a word derived from another word- fanatic!

    Probably not. Hot shot office types don’t think they ever do...... But- 1.) Buxton situation playing through broken toe. (For that matter, not giving him any time in Rochester after long DL stint) 2.) Belisle 3.) Use of relievers (see Magill, Belisle, etc.) 4.) Wilson love (For starters) Twin city reporters are gutless. Same with FSN interviews-can’t remember any tough questions for Molitor) Look, this is a bad team now. It’s going to happen. But it would be nice to know if they had any discernible plans for this group. It’s embarrassing to watch this train wreck now!

    Do you really think the Twins can find someone better than Escobar next year? There is no one currently in our system who is better...... but I can just see all the free agents lining up to play in Minnesota for the next few years. This organization needs to figure out who they are going to build the franchise around. Buxton and Sano are now HUGE question marks. Of our current nine, only Rosario, Polanco, and Kepler are my keepers. Why would you not include someone who can play 2nd, 3rd, and SS? Our Twins dressed up as the ‘27 Yankees for the last 6 weeks of 2017. Now everyone wonders how they can be so bad this year. Look at it this way........how many of our guys would be playing for the Astros? Indians? Dodgers? Cubs?

    I’d do any Dozier deal that Jeremy likes, but my position that keeping Escobar and giving him a QO, would not be the worse thing that could happen! I live in SW Minnesota, but still plan to take my grandsons to many more games this year and next, and the thought of Motter or Adianza being the guy at 3rd makes me puke!

    You can second guess until the cows come home, and never make anyone happy. Win some, lose some. The 3 guys mentioned in the article will never be cornerstone players. Good on them for having a good year. Let’s focus on the guys we have and see what we’ve got, especially Garver, Gonsalves, and even Cave.

    So, if you want the Twins to get rid of Escobar, who plays 3rd this year, and for that matter, next year? 3rd base is a black hole in the Twins organization, much like the catcher position. Why not see if you can extend him? Not the worse thing that can happen! Much better than having Adrianza or Motter there for 2 years?
