  1. Way too short of suspension. I know there were no charges against him but that just shows that money talks.
  2. Maybe Adam Jones never thought of just using whipped cream or shaving cream.
  3. My mistake, I should have said like what happens in 2017. I know injuries happen and you can expect everyone to pan out. I am leaning towards who would get dealt if all 4 outfielders turn into the stars we expect them to become.
  4. I would guess that the Twins have zero interest in Sano DHing at any point in the first four months of the season. His weight has been mentioned several times as a reason they don't want him DHing full time. So running to the outfield is the solution to keeping his weight in check?
  5. Lame... I thought Dennis Green was coming to twinsdaily.com
  6. So what happens now with Max Kepler? If you have a healthy Buxton, Eddie Rosario plays like last season and improves and now Sano.
  7. Will he be signing a 1 day contract and retire a Twin?
  8. Just do everyone a favor if this is true and retire. If he clearly hid this from the team man up and just retire right now and let the Twins out of this nightmare of a contract.
  9. The only positive thing giving Austin Jackson $8M it would make Mauer's contract look a little better.
  10. Kind of shocked that Carlos Torres was not picked up on waivers. A salary of $1.05M is not a bad deal for a player who could rebound.
  11. Yeah, the Twins are pretending for sure. I hate to throw words out with backup but I recall hearing the Twins were clearing well over $100M after everything was paid out. So tell me they couldn't make ends meet and I don't know maybe just clear $75M and have an actual ace for once.
  12. Nice to see Ken Griffey Jr making the HOF today. I would like to hear what 3 writers decided to leave him off their ballot. Mike Piazza on the other hand I could have cared less that he made it. He was accused of being a PED user.
  13. If he is suspended for more than 40 games he will not become a free agent at end of the season so there is a good possibility the Yankees made a steal of a deal.
  14. My view on Kirby didn't change after his incident. He is a human being we all make mistakes.
  15. So nobody gets a second chance? If that is the case make all offenses lifetime bans. Come on man. Just wait until MLB announces he gets a 50 game suspension the Yankee's will be even more hated for getting an extra year of Chapman.
  16. You wonder why the Twins didn't make an offer for Aroldis Chapman? The Yankees stole him for 4 "prospects" and will most likely get him an extra season out of him after his suspension. Most likely he gets 50 games and then he is not a free agent until after the 2017 season. Then they could have a very scary bullpen and be a force to deal with if they could get any run support for their pitchers.
  17. My only problem is having Sano play right field. With all the different parts of the wall it will be hard for a player playing a new position to also have to deal with. There are so many different surfaces on the wall the gives of a different ricochet in so many places. Just put him in left, hope Buston can turrn the corner and play center and have Rosario in right and platoon Arcia.
  18. The team would just have to either trade him at trade deadline or just tender him a qualifying offer and you would at least get a draft pick back.
  19. What's $5M more to eat? It's not like they have any huge terrible contracts on the books that go away in 3 years do they? wink wink.. see didn't drop a name..
  20. Dozier needs to quit trying to be a HR hitter and improve his overall game.
  21. The K's will be very high for Park for sure facing MLB quality pitchers now.
  22. I take it with the signing of Byung-ho Park that Trevor Plouffe will be gone once the winter meetings start. There is no way that Joe Mauer would ask for a change of scenery and agree to a trade. Sad part would be sending at least $40-50M in a deal and still not get anything useful in return. I would like to say as shocked as everyone else must be that the Twins won the bidding for Park it brings great sadness that Plouffe is a goner now. Still they Twins only have 30 days to make a deal or they get their money back so who knows what happens next. Still very concerned with the HUGE K numbers for Park in Korea.
  23. Dozier struggled in the second half of the season because he fell in love with the long ball and tried to hit almost every ball out of the park. Which would be great if you were a power hitter. I don't know why Bruno didn't try to work with him and dare I say it spray it around the field a little bit. And if he could not try to take such big hacks he might hit .275 or so to go along with 15-20 home runs and great defense which would make him one of the best 2nd baseman in the league. Just not sure if trading for a catcher is the best way to get the best value out of Dozier.
  24. I would have to say no on signing Wieters. He would only sign a 1 year deal in Minnesota and you would still lose the first round pick for signing him. Also, they still have Suzuki eating up $6M to deal with. Give me AJ for $3-4M and I can deal with that for a year.
  25. Without a doubt! With all the restrooms in Target Field I am sure they could find him a mop and bucket so he could definitely be a great hire once again.
