  1. The real reason that Sano was sent there is because they have the highest ticket prices of all the Twins minor league teams. Purely a joke. But knowing the Twins you never know.
  2. He's 26 but born in 1989?
  3. If it means your players are doing great and getting promoted I hope most of our minor league teams suffer badly this year.
  4. I was going to include him as well. Oakland will deal him once they get a deal they like. They are not getting past Houston and don't have a real shot at contending for a wild card spot.
  5. I am not pushing for the Twins to bring up anyone from their farm system. I don't want them to overpay in a trade for either J.T. Realmuto or Wilson Ramos right now. Hope they can be patient and make a deal that makes sense. I'm sure the Twins have received trade offers from many teams already.
  6. Did I miss something and see Jason Castro is just on the 10 day DL even though they have said he is out for th season after his surgery? Or are they just biding their time and will make the move once they find another catcher to add to the roster. Bobby Wilson can go back to Rochester for team depth.
  7. Same could be said about the prior years draft class. I would love to see a prospect list with 2016 top 5 draft picks to see how they rank now compared to right after they were drafted.
  8. Polanco's suspension would be half over if not for all the cancelled games.
  9. How old would a player be if he played his full college career? 22 or 23 depending on how old he was when he graduated high school. No reason why he can't become a major league pitcher. It took Jake Arrieta until he turned 28 to figure it out. Whether that was due to a pitching coach or that he finally matured at what turns out to be a late age. No one knows.
  10. So what does this all mean if he would make the majors in 2-3 years when he still has the military commitment?
  11. The Nick Punto effect is alive and well.

    Kerrigan?

    Thought this was about Nancy.
  13. I am happy they chose Hughes. 2-3 poor starts and we can release him & eat the rest of the contract.
  14. What about the $12-15M less it would cost for Cabrera & no prospects lost as well.
  15. With the injury to Max Kepler, hopefully it's not season ending. Wouldn't Melky Cabrera be a good addition to the team? Solid veteran & could be better than the in house alternatives.
  16. By the way, make sure to bring a shovel. They will call it a team building exercise. Then they will ask you to come back at a later date. Rinse, Repeat.
  17. nice K/9 innings. wonder if he could turn into a bullpen arm.
  18. Not going to read 5 pages of comments before I make a simple statement. The Twins were probably in the wrong more for putting the shift on an average at that hitter with a 7 run lead. Don't cry when a hitter takes what you give him. I would love to see more bunting to beat these stupid shifts. A little slap bunt would be an easy double if you can get it into shallow left field.
  19. Makes sense to drop the "circle me Bert" when Bert will barely be doing that many games again this season. Once he became a Hall of Famer his broadcast time his dropped every year.
  20. Now we just need to hope he can stay healthy and get back to his form before the injury.
  21. If they keep him down for like 2 weeks or less it gets another year of control. So I have to disagree it's not about money it's years of control. Besides he is not ready.
  22. Even if Gordon is ready, keep him down long enough to earn an extra year of team control. I would also not even think about starting Gordon right now. He has not earned it & the chance of ruining him is not worth the risk. Let him earn the promotion to AAA first.
  23. Just sign Stephen Drew and give him an 80 day audition.
  24. Hopefully they make the right decision if Hughes flops in the 1st month.
