  1. Criminal not to pinch hit for France. Who shouldn't even be in the roster.
  2. Sure, but this is an easy decision a first time manager can make. Like, other than getting to the stadium, probably the easiest thing anyone had to do all night.
  3. Absolutely criminal not to PH for France in the seventh. Just fire them all.
  4. Every single report said that. Same with Martin. It's just bad development.
  5. Definitely an issue that isn't fixed three years after overpaying a terrible hitter.
  6. Oblique, but that was before the break, IIRC.
  7. Id also send Lewis to AAA or the IL. If Emma was healthy, Wallner too. Heck, call up GG at this point.
  8. Can't DFA all of them. But I'd certainly get rid of France and Vazquez as a start.
  9. Can they DFA Paddock and France tomorrow please?
  10. Never again is my preference. Martin for France. Sabato. Keaschell when healthy. None of those will happen, and he'll start and be DFA quality.
  11. Well, Diaw is out for the year, so he's at least, at least, two more years away.....Ferrer is in A+, so he's three or so years away minimum. So, not good. I'd prefer they had a prospect at every level that was at least somewhat real....
  12. Not only is France still on the roster (WHY?) he's starting. I just don't understand this FO at all. Ok, sure, handedness....but then put Castro at first, or call up Martin. But France is not good, a real team DFAd him last year for playing like this. In MN? He starts.
  13. Almost no curve balls are thrown in MLB at all anymore. By any team.
  14. Fangraphs gives both long and Sabato 40s. Why not just try Sabato?
  15. I'd like them to promote guys and use their own guys more often, faster. If they don't think they have guys, maybe they should resign.
  16. I actually don't have more faith they won't just use another bad veteran, but that's what I want changed. I want them to try young players in their system (if they don't think those players exist, they should resign).
  17. If people really believe most minor league players success is random, you need more of them that MIGHT succeed for any to do so (I don't believe it is random, at the top and bottom of the pool. But the middle? kind of, yes).
  18. Sure, but they aren't dealing for big time players. Removing mediocre, or bad, players, at least makes room for other experiments. I think this is our disconnect. I'm talking about what they can do right now, not theoretically. They can move on from mediocre players, which they've failed to do in the past, which is the change they can actually make right now. At least they'll gather data on younger players, and they'll get experience, and maybe get lucky. They aren't doing anything useful keeping France or Kiersey.
  19. Fair. And to be clear, I'm not. I'm more into stopping the process this team uses, which does not work. I'd like more dice rolls that might yield a useful piece.
  20. Sometimes things don't work. That doesn't make them wrong. Also, I'm not sure any expiring deal is team breaking. But I have zero interest in things that never work. Like standing still with veterans on expiring deals. Or just bad veterans.
  21. This fear of trying youth over bad veterans drives me crazy. At least one way there is hope, even if faint. What good, consistent, hitter have they developed? They have a 1:1 and 1:5.....
  22. Nah. Just because they'll likely miss the playoffs four out of five years. Why change?
