  1. they are both higher in fWAR. Jeffers would be higher if they'd just let him catch 60% of the time.......Wallner was hurt, and has 72 games. Put him at 85 at the fangraphs rate, and he's around 1.5 (not great, not replacement level).
  2. Agreed. My point is.....there aren't many positions they'll look to fill from outside next year. C and great RH OF that can hit and field are about it, IMO (since no one trades for a 1B prospect). That limits the number of teams you deal Ryan to. There also aren't many contenders with budgets that have multiple top 50-100 prospects. I was shocked that Ford wasn't traded this deadline.......
  3. Of course, neither Jeffers nor Wallner are close to replacement level.....
  4. Roden is a LOCK for the team next year, IMO, and Larnach is nearly a lock to be part of a trade, imo.
  5. I'm going to put about 60% of that on the Twins, and 40 on him......but ya, if he could be castro-lite next year, that would be great. And, ya, the ball if flying. Now Roden?
  6. Keaschell looked legit on that double play!
  7. diving catch. It's free on mlb.com today.....
  8. This. It's a RP set of pitches right now......but hey, this is what a rebuilding team that gave up on the year should be doing, trying guys to get them experience and help them grow (or learn they aren't good, either way).
  9. I'd hope they put him in short relief next year.....Looks like a future number 2/3 RP type. (yes, I'm working on being glass half full)
  10. You can see a good pitcher in Ohl, even if he's not quite there yet.
  11. Jeffers stole that out.....but he sucks, I'm told.
  12. They traded for two, and have Diaw and the other guy who's name I can't recall. No pass from me, we are three years into the awful Vazquez deal, and they don't have a replacement.....but I used ot think they ignored C, turns out they just stink at drafting and developing them other than Jeffers in 9 years....
  13. Is it? I'm not sure.....also, I really hate calling these guys dumb.
  14. OF Gabriel Gonzalez - yes SP Andrew Morris - clearly SP Kendry Rojas - yes SP Cory Lewis - I think so, but I'm not sure. OF Hendry Mendez - hmmmmm, I think yes, but he's a hitter w/o much D? I mean, why wouldn't CO or Pitt or Mia take the chance? SP Connor Prielipp - clearly SP CJ Culpepper - I'd think so, yes. INF Danny de Andrade - underrated by the TWins and fans, but will someone take him? I don't think so?
  15. I still don't get why Gasper is here if he isn't catching. Because he's not going to play anywhere else next year for MN.
  16. I agree they don't need to protect MacLeod or Sabato. I mean, they aren't even giving Sabato a shot right now......who else is going to do so?
  17. I don't think Baltimore is going to trade Basallo , but that's a guess of course.
  18. zero people? That was not a great job by the LF, but it was actually a hit unlike yesterday (or day before, life's a blur right now).
  19. I mean, Martin and Kiersey are easy DFA at this point. (I'm shocked about Martin, maybe he fixes things). So is McCusker. Outman, don't get me started. I think Roden is protected, on the 40 man almost with certainty at this point. And Larnach is traded. I don't think they'll have too many OF on the 40 man next year, to start the year.
  20. It's hard to see Tampa trading for a guy that's about to get expensive. Jenkins isn't a CF. Emma is never healthy. Also, no such thing as too much pitching, especially if you are dealing Ryan. If you don't think they need OF or P, what are you even trading for? They likely don't trade for a SS, given Culpepper and Houston. There is no 1B prospect worth a pitcher. I'd guess catcher is the best option if you aren't going for SP or OF. So, Seattle or Baltimore.....(the obsession with Duran also makes no sense if you are dealing Ryan, imo).
  21. The Mets have 4 players in the top 65 on Fangraphs prospect list, two SP and two CF. That's the organization, imo, they should be dealing with.
