  1. They are big into helping build the future of self driving cars.....qualcomm is on my watch list.
  2. I agree with all of that, I just changed my mind on them over the last week.....or two.
  3. I did it in my tax free account, where I can be more active (yes, I know this is a terrible idea). I love NFLX, but I am worried about PRIME, and I am worried about their fee being too high over seas. I love amazon, msft, google, apple....and NFLX, but more nervous about NFLX.
  4. I just bailed on NFLX.......too many losses, too many competitors. Doubled down on Disney and NVDIA.
  5. I'd see if CO wants Tonkin, he fits their mold of guys that throw hard, but don't rely on movement (since the balls don't move as much in CO). They must have an A ball prospect of some worth.....
  6. Under Armor up 22% today, if I owned more shares, I would have cashed them in......but I only own 12.......
  7. Ask him on twitter or his blog, he'll probably answer......and I agree with you. What is the ROI on putting a terrible pitcher out there for $2MM or $4MM (after arb)? Also, of course, he states he thinks the owner has restricted payroll I guess my question for KLAW is, if they have budget, why not?....
  8. KLAW was asked about the lack of spending on his chat today: Marshall: The Twins have gotten some criticism from fans for not going hard enough after new RP – however, I actually think we can get more bang for our buck by augmenting the bullpen with your power arms that are near the majors (Burdi, Reed, Chargois, Meyer, etc). Klaw: Yeah that is the worst possible thing they could do. Plus ownership clearly doesn’t want to spend a ton on payroll, so why would Ryan spend it in the place where ROIs tend to be terrible? http://meadowparty.com/blog/
  9. Well, I'm not in love with the MLB list.......hope to be proven wrong.
  10. That's all I've read on line also. Too bad.
  11. I agree on O'Rourke for sure. He's 28. Use his strengths, and move on with life. Otherwise they are just wasting his talent. I agree on Abad, he either impresses the heck out of you, or see below...... I agree on your comments on the young players. If that is your strategy, do it.
  12. Then why were none of them up last year (Rogers, for example) if that was the plan? I'm all for that plan, if they implement it. But we all know the first 2 months, they'll go with the veterans. That's 1/3 of the season. Then they'll explain that we can't expect the young guys to be good right away, that's another month gone where they don't trust them and use them in the highest leverage situation. That's half the year, of not really putting their money where their mouth is. Either play the young guys, and let them fail and learn, or don't. But all this half way stuff doesn't work.
  13. I'm with you on this, IF they let the young guys fail some before giving up on them (since most RPs fail quite often).
  14. Until we see them trust young RPs with lots of walks, why would we think it will happen? We largely agree that they SHOULD do it, but they have not done so in the past.
  15. Hey, I'm all in on going young, but they didn't even promote Rogers last year to test him out. NOT ONE young guy was brought up in September. IF that is their strategy, why would you not do that?
  16. And who did they have at RP last year, that should not be blocked, that stopped them from spending?
  17. It will be interesting to find out. Clearly, they believe. Now, this is the same group that thought Stauffer was good, and the young players would step up, so color me skeptical. This is the same group that has built the last 4 bullpens, right?
  18. I don't see anyone saying "oh, great, we're set", or did I miss something?
  19. I think Seth is pretty much right on in his predictions. I hope they don't wait long on the FTM guys moving up, if they have success.
  20. Agreed. The worst thing him being is mediocre, not bad enough to replace, not good enough to put the team in position to win consistently.
  21. Teams don't trade in April/May....if Nolasco is good, he's here until June/July.
  22. Preach it. Otherwise we'll hear how he can't be in the bullpen because he's not used to it.
  23. I was espousing what the Twins would do, not what I'd do......
