  1. Rehab or no, send him down until he hits in AAA. No defense is worth this.
  2. They have no long man now. Mind. Boggling.
  3. You know what goes real well with bad baseball and cool weather. A Manhattan....
  4. Time to move Lewis to center field. He can take over for Buston in two years, and Gordon can play short
  5. Not an ounce of sympathy. Hes a professional that isn't doing his job. This front office does not appear interested in promoting Gordon or wade.... They are still in AA ball for some reason.
  6. It was kind of a long day, ya, that was obvious when you explain it! Appreciate the respectful conversation we are having, even if you are wrong....
  7. Youd give up Lewis for a 4th OFer? and, Judge isn't coming for Lewis......JT isn't as good as Judge.
  8. From 2015 to today....JT Realmuto is number 2 in catcher WAR in all of baseball.... From 2016 to today....number 2 in all of baseball.... From 2017 to today....number 3 in all of baseball (Sanchez, who I begged for the Twins to trade for 2 years before he hit the majors, is number 1) That's a huge positional advantage for his team....and will make him expensive.
  9. Assuming you like the OFers they have, and the 3B they have, and Polanco.....that leaves C, 1B, DH, and one MIF spot to "fix" in the next three years. You aren't trading Lewis for a DH only type....so that leaves C, 1B, and one MIF spot. If you trust Gordon at all....maybe no MIF spot. Now, you could deal for a RH OF, and deal one of your existing OF......sure. But, how much does that help? All three are likely 2 WAR (or better) players the next few years. It really comes down to C, 1B, and 2B.....and who has a great 2B available that isn't a contender?
  10. Pretty much how I feel also. I'm much more interested in how the players are doing, than how the teams are doing. Like, I'm pretty sure I don't care at all about the teams.
  11. That's what I thought, but someone said it was three plus. I'd have to think harder on Lewis for two plus, given how bad Buxton is and Sano and his health.
  12. I'd trade Lewis if you can control Realmuto for this year, and three more. Yes. You are only losing two years of control, and getting back a young, all Star, catcher. Lewis is in A ball.
  13. Why are we talking McGill? He's doing his job. There are other options.
  14. Well, he caught Berrios all thru AAA, maybe even AA (can't recall).....I don't think this is an issue at all. Others will not agree with me.
  15. How many more horrible starts would you keep him? And, anyone that wants King Felix at this point is not paying attention the last few years. Most of those teams, though not all, are NOT playoff contendors, or if they are, are so good elsewhere they can take chances. Also, do those teams have Slegers and Gonsalves in AAA right now? I might want 3-4 of those names, maybe, and not as starters right now. Some of them are inexperienced enough to have options, and can be sent down by their current teams....
  16. He doesn't have to pretend to be hurt....he can just accept an assignment to AAA. It's possible he can get right, no doubt. I'd rather have him trying to get right in AAA than MN right now. I still believe this team can make the playoffs, but throwing away every fifth start isn't going to cut it.
  17. He's about a million times the hitter Buxton is. Sano is the new Mauer.
  18. I see what KLAW was saying about not worrying about kirriloff now. Dude is a hitter.
  19. I didn't say they should do anything. I merely pointed out they aren't young compared to other teams. Nothing more or less. Well, I did say their she and experience shouldn't be an excuse anymore also. They have a good mix of ages, probably. My post was, quite literally, pointing out there aren't young. Nothing more or less.
  20. That's my point.... The Twins seem young, until you start looking at other teams. They are just like most other teams. Unless people are arguing most teams are young, but then I don't know what young means, as I consider it a comparative term
