  1. Bauer has been this for years, over and over, with no remorse. He is who he is.
  2. Bundy and Archer were their worst starters last year. They have Ober, Valand, Winder, SWR all ready to take their place. That doesn't count Mahle or Maeda as depth/starters at all. They are, without question, much deeper than last year at this time and it isn't close.
  3. It's almost like I put the word "if" in there on purpose.......I have no idea what kind of OF he can be. He's all of how old? How far out of college? I'm just saying, the people on this board giving up on a guy with this little professional experience would have cut Hunter....and Dozier....and others.
  4. While I generally agree, if he can play elite D and get on base and steal at will, he has a lot more value than Arraez (big ifs, there)....but he has enough speed to play LF or CF and be valuable.
  5. I don't think Miami wants Kepler, as he doesn't have a ton of control left. But I'm certainly open to the idea I'm wrong here
  6. He also had to pass a physical every year..... So not even the short term was guaranteed.
  7. I'm not interested in dealing prospects for two years of Lopez..... Agreed.
  8. Right. If they deal Polanco, one of those is your long term 2b.
  9. I can't see trading both those players for two years of Lopez.
  10. Lewis to the outfield. Lee to third. Miranda to DH or first. It's pretty easy to find space for them, imo.
  11. I'd also prefer more young players getting time. I'm a believer in most of them.
  12. I mean, I'd trade him..... But I'm not the front office.
  13. I know most won't agree, but I think this means they aren't dealing Kepler, unless it's part of a deal for an impact starter. They are all in.
  14. Stunned. Absolutely shocked they're spending this much money. I'm all for it.
  15. No one has replicated what Tampa does. And, plenty of teams try, like Detroit, KC, Cincy, Pittsburgh.....
  16. I'm not making any judgement about other teams. I'm suggesting if people are mad the twins don't do it, they should look at ownership. Because the front office change, and lack of signings doesn't. Looks like they are signing CC today, though.....
  17. People in this site giving up on players this young always amuse me.. I'm not worried, other than I'd like him playing left and center.
  18. If no front office ever signs great players, you should probably look to ownership.... And stop blaming the front office.
  19. This FO didn't manipulate kiriloff, larnach, Lewis, Miranda, or any pitcher. Why do you think they will with Julien? He'll be up when someone is traded or hurt, if they need a 2b, LF, or DH, maybe first base.
  20. Joe Ryan, Sonny Gray, say hi. I mean they signed Cruz when no one else did. This idea the front office is stupid is just not true. They aren't perfect, not close, but, well, they also aren't stupid. Also, when every front office in the history of the team is "cheap", it is likely not them that is the problem.
  21. Why is SD trading pitching? If only Darvish had been a free agent at one point..... The Twins have Lee and Lewis, why are they trading for a SS? Help me or here. I really don't understand any of these suggestions from either side.
