    I never thought they were trading him. Last year fell apart due to an insane number of OF injuries (and other stuff)......They don't want to use OFers 6-8 all at the same time again. Also, if Gallo doesn't rebound.....also, if Larnach is hurt.....or if Kiriloff is.....or whatever. That said, if Larnach and Kiriloff are healthy and productive, I hope they bench Kepler unless he suddenly starts hitting.

    we will forgo getting rocked and/or building length when we eventually start our younger guys - Ober, Winder, Varland, and SWR; ........ None of those are happening. I guess I didn't understand what this meant. Nor did you really address the main point about starters going longer....

    You realize this was not the strategy before last year, right? When they had Archer and Bundy (both bad and hurt) and Ryan who was a rookie (wanted to limit his innings so he didn't tire like Lopez)? Not to mention some injuries? I guess if you assume they will get rocked when they start every other starter, well, why even try to get better if you just assume they will fail anyway?

    It's almost like people forget this was NOT the strategy before last year, when they had injured and bad starters. I have no idea why anyone thinks it will be the same as last year. none. I also see no need to add any of the available RPers. I'm not 100% sure they are better than the existing options, especially if Alcala is healthy. If they are in at the break, and need a RP, and a great one is there, they will trade for them.

    Sure. The difference is meaningless....I agree. But was Enlow good before he was hurt? Do we think Headrik goes unselected if not on the forty man, or DFAd? I think not.

    I also was not a fan of the Sabato pick. That's just not my profile for a top pick. I want a pitcher or four or five tool player in round one. Just my bias. I don't want more Rookers in round one, and yes, I know he wasn't round one.

    Sands really should be a relief pitcher. I have no idea how Enlow is rated higher than Headrik. No idea. I have no idea how I feel about anyone else.

    Excellent post. People are very unrealistic about drafts and about trades. Not to mention impatient. And blame people for injuries.

    SF had no QB. The refs were also brutal. I'm not sure they are as good as the score showed. They are great, though. I think they win because mahomes can't run.

    I hope both teams lose somehow. The officiating really soured me on even watching it. Just awful in both games.

    Or, put Lee at third..... You're also assuming they have another player as good a defender as Lewis available for the OF.....
