  1. How many pitchers would you expect them to have "fixed" in 6 years of drafting (no player taken in the last two years is in the majors)? I'm guessing you'll see Ober, Varland, and SWR in the majors this year. Dobnak, before getting hurt, was exactly this pitcher. We all forget how good he was two years ago. Then there is Ryan. So many injuries the last few years.....Oh, and they traded one of those guys for Gray. Which clearly reduces the pipeline. This doesn't count Jax or Duran in the bullpen.
  2. Kepler over .300? I'll take the under.
  3. I don't know..... Three years of Polanco (above average 2B signed to a good deal) Trade Kepler for a prospect in the 4-10 range for Boston. A guy that should fill the back of your rotation for 6 years (Varland). For one year of a player? Heck, they can likely deal Polanco for 2 good prospects if they really want. I'd do that if I'm Boston all day. Three years of Polanco and 6 of Varland is a lot of certainty compared to getting a couple highly rated prospects. That said, if Boston is punting the next couple years, I'd rather get Lee and Varland than Polanco and Varland. But I think people are over-estimating what you can get for 1 year of a player (unless you are dealing with a team that is certain to extend him, like SD or Seattle or NYY).
  4. I don't think 11 MM is the issue, it's three years for a RP that was hurt the last two.
  5. At this point? I probably go with the young guys. This roster isn't constructed to win it all, I don't think. May was well see what they have. Also, guys with options allow them to send guys up and down when there are issues, whereas these guys don't. But, if they sign a couple, I'm also ok with that.
  6. A three year deal for a RP that was hurt the last two years is not a deal I'd make.....
  7. You quoted my response to someone talking about Buxton. As for CC, they if they felt there was an issue, they likely didn't fear it given it was really a one year deal.
  8. We are trading for one year of a player that they likely won't sign to a long term deal. Why?
  9. Ok. But the post you responded to was about Buxton, so I'm not sure your point.
  10. Bassit is the one I'd want from that list. I would have preferred one of last year's starters.....
  11. What makes you think the Twins will pay that? And, it blocks Miranda and Lee.
  12. Three or four years of Arraez, plus Kepler and a prospect for one of Devers? To what end? They won't pay him for an extension.
  13. Buxton? That post is about Buxton.
  14. Because he gets his clients big money? How?
  15. Except they won't pay Devers. Also, how do you get him without giving up Lee or Lewis, plus?
  16. They didn't sign Rocker. They let DeGromm go. He's a free spender, but do we know he ignores medical advice? I have no idea at this point. I'm guessing a three year deal for 105....
  17. Your narrative didn't cast the Twins in the worst light, sir.
  18. Some people just have to assume the worst about the Twins, in every situation.
