    If I was the Vikings, and I was 100% confident the owner had my back...... Trade Kirk for a first or 2nd and 5th next year. Trade Cook and a 5th for a 4th or 3rd (not that I think a team takes that contract, but they might) next year. Trade Thielen for whatever. Sign JJ and Hockenson to long deals. Sign the best mediocre or average QB I can and promise JJ I'm trading whatever it takes to get the best QB next year. Trade this year's first for a third (or second if I can) round pick this year and a first next year. Trade all my firsts next year for the top pick (or highest pick I need to to get an elite QB). Heck, we might be bad enough to get a top pick.... Sign the best Center I can this year with the money (if there is one). Sign the best DL I can this year. Draft DL and OL and DB with all my picks this year *unless there is a RB I LOVE after round 3. Clearly this isn't 100% thought out....but I'd aim to have enough capital to get whatever QB I wanted next year.

    I'm sure they are. But you can't punt next year. My point is, they won't be fixing QB for at least two years ... To expect otherwise is to set yourself up for disappointment. Are you willing to be awful for one or two years, on the hope you get an elite QB? Easy for is to say yes, we aren't the owners trying to make money, or employees trying to keep our jobs.

    I'd guess the Vikings would love to find a guy like that ...... What makes you think they don't? They just won 13 games, do you really expect them to cut Kirk, hope they suck, and draft a QB next year? Of course not.

    Trevor Lawrence? No. I'm not sure about Rodgers anymore either. You do know the Vikings won 13 games with the second worst defense? That Kirk led them to comeback after comeback?

    I'm counting on someone being nuts, clearly. I agree, I'd not deal for him.....but I'd also not pay him this much if I'm MN. He's fun to watch, but they can't pay him this much. The more I think about it, the more I wonder WT* is going to happen with Kirk and the QB position after this year.....

    That was my thought. Dalvin and a 4th for a mid to high 3rd, that's my goal here......I'd do Dalvin and a 5th for a 4th, but I'd prefer the former.

    If Martin hits, he's your LF (with great speed), IMO. I would start Martin in AAA and let him do his thing with a healthy wrist this year. I agree with the rest of your alignment though.

    That's highly dependent on if Lewis goes to third, or CF.....because I think Lee might go to third. Also, on Polanco being traded. Frankly, I'd trade Polanco after this year if Lee and Lewis and Julien look this good.

    I'd put him at first/ dh / 2nd and let it go at that. If Kiriloff is hurt, I'd like him at first / dh THIS year. Why not? Let's see what happens (maybe a month or so at AAA). His bat is good enough, I think, that I'd rather see him hitting than a few regulars already on the team.

    100% sure you would have seen Varland and/or Ober do so this year, had they not traded for Lopez.

    No one outside Minnesota hyped him, and even that was muted. Nothing about them is similar, imo.
