  1. Polanco being up means Julien isnt (he's only up because Polanco was hurt). In no way would the offense be better if you pull out Julien and put in Polanco.
  2. Severino is sitting in AA mashing and not in MN or AAA, despite there being no real 3B on the MN roster....Williams could play 1B and AK to the outfield. Those are two obvious ones
  3. Miranda is not ready for MLB right now, even if healthy. Lewis and Julien are starters. Lee? There is no hurry to see if he's ready. Martin isn't healthy or ready. Severino? Well, I'd have him in AAA right now to see if he can play, but he can play 3B ok and maybe 1B, but he's no utility player at all. Has he ever played the OF? Williams and Prato aren't utility players......
  4. Oh, I agree Kepler is going nowhere, but three weeks of data shouldn't offset three years of it....For the year, and previous years, he has not produced. Not close for a RF on offense. I agree they aren't making a move at 3B, but how long will Lewis last this time? What is the most games he's played in a row in 4 years w/o getting hurt? For the bullpen, they have Stewart and Thielbar coming back. Assuming you bring back those two, who is the third guy you DFA or send down?
  5. I think he's 100% as good or better than Gordon, and the other guys (Martin for example) aren't sure things. I actually like Castro as a utility guy quite a bit.
  6. I mean, I'd try Wallner and AK to the outfield, and call up Williams or Prato to play first....maybe even Prato for third?
  7. Who do I replace first? Gallo Kepler A third baseman (like, I replace whomever that is now) I consider replacing Taylor, but I just don't see how they pay the price to do so
  8. Last week two people told me Julien wasn't close to the Twins best hitter, and I'm still trying to figure out who is better.
  9. I didn't put comments in the tool....I like guys that I am fairly sure will make the majors and would like to love Prielipp, but at this point, no idea if he'll ever throw multiple innings in a year at this point. I'm still a Martin believer, against all evidence this year. Also, Severino just keeps hitting. Salas and Miller are the two here that are purely on potential..... Walllner? He looks like at worst a backup / DH OF. So he has to be higher for me.
  10. I's a college pitcher being in high A actually unusual at this point? I have no idea.
  11. Agreed. That said, I'd promote Lee and Severino. But no one seems to be getting promoted this year hardly.

  13. My favorite this year is during the draft, where CO had three guys in their room, all of whom are older than me.....
  14. He's got an OPS nearly 100 points higher than Kepler..... And this thread is about Buxton.
  15. I believe I read they are interested in trading for Ohtani....which, um, sure?
  16. Julien has been one of the best hitters in the game, let alone on the Twins. And it isn't close at all. 13th best wrc+ in all of baseball of those with at least 100 at bats....and people are pining for Polanco to return?
  17. They knew this might happen with Prielipp......was always a risk. That's the only reason he was available where he was. I don't see this as a bad break, it was probably 40%+ likely when they took him. Still, a risk worth taking, imo
  18. How is Polanco number 1? There is zero evidence they'll find a way to play him and Julien together. Lewis by far is number 1. Their 3B are not good at hitting ..... Stewart and Thielbar are tied for 2nd for me. Polanco is 4th (if I thought they'd get him and Julien in the lineup, and keep AK there and keep Lewis there, he'd be second) Gordon.....I mean, is he any better than the utility guys they have? Maybe, I think so.....but they won't put Wallner in the OF, they aren't putting Gordon there, and if Polanco, Julien, Lewis are up, where do you even put Gordon (with Castro on the roster especially)?
  19. That last sentence is prescient for sure.
  20. Come on. Are we really going to keep complaining about the Gray trade? He's been what the Twins need......for more than 1 year in the bigs. It is a good, fair, trade. Or should the present just be punted for the future all the time? Seriously this line of thinking really confuses me. As for the picks, maybe they could take a look at the one dimensional guys and see a pattern in outcomes? Suggesting Rooker is "good" or whatever by mentioning he's an All Star ignores he's been awful since April. Simply awful. He's an All Star because every team has to have one. There is some stuff to like in these picks, and some stuff not to like. The Lewis/Greene/McKay picks? None of them have worked, and they were nearly the consensus top three that year, so not sure how to judge the FO on that one. The Cavacao pick? Good golly miss molly, how awful is that looking? It looked bad at the time.....now? Worse than bad. I don't know anyone cannot love the last two top picks, though. Sure helps to have a top five or so pick........
  21. Correct. They will sign Nola and a backend guy......And promote some random player who will instantly be good.
