  1. I'd not be disappointed in Lowder, to be clear.....I just don't think saving money to hopefully sign a tough sign later should be the strategy. The strategy should be to take the highest ceiling player.
  2. How'd that work out with Rooker and Enlow? I'm hard pressed to be in love with most of their early picks, frankly. Just pick the best player.
  3. They have plenty of high floor guys....that doesn't work. Go get the guy you think has a shot at being a star.
  4. They aren't trading Julien. He's their starting 2B. He's a very good hitter.
  5. The one thing here that might make me ok buying.... another forty man crush. But I really agree with the above, move on from Kepler and Gallo and see what you have.
  6. I can't imagine anything that interests me less to add.
  7. It's why I never liked the rooker pick....I do agree, you care less at 49 .... But give me a pitcher or guy who can both hit and field.
  8. I'd prefer not to take a guy that might have to play first or DH..... repeating myself, I know The guy from Nebraska is interesting....
  9. No. But I'd work really hard to convince him to move to the OF and put Miranda back at third. This isn't a very good team, let's find out if it can be next year or not. Personally, I'd promote Lee and Severino to AAA, put them at third and second, and see if they should be in Minnesota sooner rather than later. Julien? He's a legit hitter.... But where to play him? I'm in the camp of ILing Buxton for two weeks, then rehab for a week. Put Julien at DH and Farmer or Lewis or Lee or Severino at second.
  10. 100% this. I went to fire the FO two weeks ago, and their unwillingness to move on from Kepler, STILL, only cements that in my mind. Their inability to build a complete team despite a real budget and this pitching staff is mind boggling. Now, party of that is Buxton (and CC and Polanco) not hitting or being healthy, but that's not all of the issue. They just refuse to bite the bullet here. They NEED offense, desperately. As for Buxton? No idea what to do here, frankly.

  12. This entire board but a few of us wanted Jeffers gone before the year ...
  13. It's a game thread. After a win. When every pitching move he made in a bullpen game worked. Come on.
  14. Interesting. I think I'm at least two to three weeks from tomatoes, and those are the small cherries..... Likely they'll be very full in August when we go to Norway.... Glad you are enjoying it. It's definitely a good hobby.
  15. It's how things are.....wanting them to be different doesn't make them different.
  16. Him or Wallner (or Larnach) in RF going forward, but I typed it as he was signing off. Damn weeding ....
  17. Pretty sure that was the lone Twins' comment....I tried to ask about Kepler, but joined late.
