  1. I agree with that, but the Twins will keep Lopez and send down Balazovic....they've shown all year that VETERANS is the answer ....even if the youth are nearly ALL playing better. Heck, Julien would still be in AAA if Polanco hadn't gotten hurt a second time.
  2. Because he's likely the best SP available this year for trade. People trade great or very good prospects for SP at the deadline most years (when there are actually good SPs available). You literally have no idea if those guys would be good here or not..... That said, at this point, I don't think they are selling at all (maybe Gallo, but that's to add Wallner full time, if done).
  3. Heck, he doesn't even get his chance if Polanco isn't hurt, which is another strike against this FO.
  4. The Yankees aren't trying that again! Wallner has hit well since being allowed off the bench. He should just be up. Larnach is only up for three days.... I'd take anything for Gallo at this point, just so Wallner can replace him.
  5. I don't know they need BP help either, given the returns of Stewart and Thielbar.....I mean, I'd trust Balazovic more than them anyway, but they seem hesitant to trust any young players (hitters or pitchers). They didn't even want Julien up, it took Polanco being OUT for him to be up. Sure, they CAN put AK in the outfield, but Wallner is outhitting him.....they should just trust Wallner.
  6. I don't understand this idea. If by some shock they trade for a hitter, it will be for an OF. But I see them standing pat offensively.
  7. There is no reason to trade Wallner. He should play every day. Larnach? Sure, he can fetch a RP I'd guess. Might backfire, but they should do it.
  8. How do they already have him this year? How is it a small improvement over MAT?
  9. Saying he's currently their most valuable player isn't the same as saying trade him......
  10. Can only play the guys he's given, and CC needs a day off occasionally. I doubt he's alone in deciding Buck is the DH....They have 2 DFA / Backups starting in the OF, plus Kepler (who is hot right now, but been awful most of the year). That's three positions plus Buxton.....leaving not much room for the other 5 hitters.
  11. I'm not sure if that lineup could score against Chief. There were what, three legit MLB hitters playing and two of those are largely unproven (AK and Wallner)?
  12. I think you need to adjust your requirements.....10 qualified players are hitting over .300 right now.
  13. Which is odd. It's not like the SS in AAA is going to the majors....is he? Miranda will be the 3B there soon.....but just put Lee at SS there.
  14. Three weeks isn't more indicative than the years for me. I get others disagree
  15. context....the comment I resonded to said if Polanco had been here all year, our O wouldn't be as bad.
  16. Polanco being up means Julien isnt (he's only up because Polanco was hurt). In no way would the offense be better if you pull out Julien and put in Polanco.
