  1. Agreed, after this year they should have a ton of money, but you can only buy so many good FAs .. I can't recall any team signing four to six good starters in one year
  2. Sure, but they have so many holes, so many..... They lose at least three top picks over the next two years to trade up. How do they fill those ... They'll have zero picks besides QB this year before round four of they trade up. So, no real help this year should be expected, while losing Hunter and maybe Risner.... And they'll likely have no first or second next year either..... Trading JJ closes most of those holes. I'm not saying it's a good idea, I'm saying it's something they need to think about.
  3. If they want one of the top 4 QBs, they are dealing with SD......and have to outbid a bunch of other teams. Is that worth it? Will they be bad enough next year w/o a real QB to pick high (I'm guessing no, given JJ and Addison and Hockenson). Therefore, I think they need to ....holds nose and ducks....deal JJ to get a QB this year. If you really think one of these 4 is a top 10-12 QB in the league for the coming years, then ya, trading JJ makes sense. But you better be right. And no, I don't know if I'd do this or not....
  4. No way should MN do that, given the team and cap. They have zero DL and edge rushers on the roster that a team can build around. Zero.
  5. Concur. I mean, later than a third round pick? Sure, I'd consider any starter for a 4th or later pick. Not that you can get him for that......
  6. If you sort that last table inversely, twins are number one! https://blogs.fangraphs.com/accounting-for-free-agencys-biggest-gainers-and-losers/
  7. Mookie Betts says hi. But I agree, he's an exception. I think teams are often wrong in this.... But I understand why they act this way.
  8. They'll be lucky to be even a 6 win team, IMO. No QB, No DL/Edge players. It's a barren wasteland outside WR/TE and sort of OL. I mostly blame the previous regime, but this one needs to be a lot better (as we've all said). Not trading Hunter was a massive blunder (they had to be offered more than a 4th round pick). They'll need to sign one good/very good DL and draft there also. They need a QB (hopefully a placeholder and a pick to take over late in the year). They need DBs and Edge like crazy. I see no quick fix, but they will be super flush with money in another off season, and it is fixable if they pick the right QB and 2- 3 other starters this year.
  9. An exciting starter and good options behind him if there is an injury. What's not to love?
  10. Seemed to be bad in the clubhouse the last few years
  11. Hence it would be a surprise. It's literally the only one I could think of. I don't expect it at all
  12. How far will Williams fall if he demands ownership and won't do medical exams? Would you draft him?
  13. Do we think getting ten more at bats a week really matters to growth if the player is ready? I'd rather the best players are in Minnesota, helping the team win.
  14. If they draft QB and let Kirk go, they should sign a RB..... Even though I hate paying RBs
  15. I think the surprise could be AK in AAA...
  16. Mattison being released.
  17. I'd do that if I was the bears.
  18. My concern also.
