No chance he starts as a Twin. Not with 5-6 guys and Jenkins on the roster. Plus that year of control. No chance. Options won't matter. If he's not good enough for it to not matter, it won't matter ....

That's the issue. The bad drafts have led to next year needing to replace 4-6 starters, and maybe more if you cut/trade some more starters. Not to mention every single OL has been hurt at least twice this year.....every, single, one. Can you count on them next year?

A great draft, clearly. 100% need to deal Addison and cut Hockenson, so there are two real holes (and both DTs they paid for this year, and maybe the C if he gets another concussion). Smith will finally resign, so there is another starter they need to replace. That's likely 4-6 starters they need to replace.....

He's going to have a better game today than any McCarthy has had......but we are to believe that a guy who has been professionally coached since he was 12 just needs more time to figure out basic mechanics.

Will he ask for a trade if this is how the year goes? He and everyone else must be looking at Jones and Darnold and wondering what could have been at this point.... Oh, great, we play SEA next week! Can't wait for that (good thing most of my friends out here aren't NFL fans).

sorry, by JJ there I meant Jefferson. How do you keep him happy at this point? I agree, McCarthy can't have any real confidence at this point.

I agree.....but choosing McCarthy sure looks bad at this point. Bo Nix would look great in this offense....

Most of that with guys he didn't draft, and let leave after last year, as that post stated.....this team is mostly his, other than Jefferson and Smith and the OTs.

Zero chance a rookie OF starts in the Twins until they can get another year of service time. Even then, they have 5-6 guys in front of them, and this team refuses to move on from mediocrity (or even bad play) from veterans.

I mean, he has one really good pick in 4 years (two if you count a kicker). That's not going to cut it. They dealt for Hockenson, and got 2 years out of him (he's bad this year). I don't see how anyone thinks he's doing a good job at this point.....last year's record built on guys either he didn't draft, or who he let leave this year.

Well, I'd draft a guy who's offense in college was built around him, but yes.....in general I agree with the sentiment.

On the plus side, one of the 2 win teams is going to win today, so that's good.
