  1. I am willing to bet Royce Lewis will be better than Josh Bell for the remainder of the season.
  2. It is a very good sign that the owners first proposal had full TV revenue sharing in it. That alone could save the 2027 season. Now the only thing to argue about is how hard/soft the ceiling and floor are and what numbers to put on them. MLB is at $245/$171 and MLBPA is at $300/$150. That is not very far apart at all.
  3. If the Dodgers include prospects to shed dead salary, the Twins can cut the salaried player and keep the prospects. This happens in other sports with a cap all the time.
  4. You have to make it so the teams that have the best attendance make the most money. I don’t care if they’re spending or even winning if the fans are attending.
  5. They need a SS and 1B at the MLB level. The Twins could move Royce to 1B or they could trade him to a team that needs a 3B. If Buxton was healthy they could use Royce at DH.
  6. This is key. I think you can fix competitive balance with revenue sharing without needing a cap and floor.
  7. $23M of that number is benefits costs, which would leave the Twins $40M short. $148M in payroll is not that far off from what they had in 2024/25.
  8. Ryan, Ober, Bradley, Prielipp, Matthews. That’s five - SWR can stay in the bullpen.
  9. I haven’t seen any details of the proposed revenue sharing changes. Cap and floor is pointless without changes to revenue sharing.
  10. Look around the American League. Nearly every team has players performing like that.
  11. Lee is the utility player, not Lewis. If Lewis returns to 3B, they can move Lee anywhere in the infield.
  12. Let’s see how he does when batters start looking for the change
  13. I think his walk rate will also matter. When they sent him down he was chasing garbage. With better swing decisions and better mechanics, Royce can be an impact player again.
  14. This might be a buy-and-sell deadline. There won’t be a lot of sellers with the American League so weak. The Twins still have too many OF/DH bats and could use a first baseman. They could swap a LH reliever, like Banda, for a RH arm. There are moves they can make to improve in the near term without sacrificing the future.
  15. I can’t see them offering Jeffers a qualifying offer. That’s a $23M deal which would make him the highest paid catcher in baseball. He would absolutely accept.
  16. It's a better idea now than it was then. I can't imagine they want to keep Larnach through another year of arbitration.
