    The Yankees have lost 7 in a row and several players are dealing with food poisoning (or maybe a parasite?). Twins are getting swept.

    They’re stretching him out to put him in the rotation. That’s reasonable when Mike Paredes is getting starts and Connor Prielipp is getting skipped to keep his innings down.

    Here’s what I expect they will do. A contender will trade for a bullpen upgrade and they will have to let someone go to open the roster spot. They will cut someone out of options and the Twins will trade a minor leaguer they don’t like to obtain him. That’s what happened in 2024 with Trevor Richards.

    For the Houston series, Buxton was hurt. They’re not going to use the backup C. They had two backups and wouldn’t use Fedko.

    They will be less effective per inning. That’s the trade off.

    He hasn’t thrown since his shoulder surgery 16 months ago. If he pitches at all, even in the minors, it will be a miracle.

    A couple more factors Roden and Rodriguez are probably more important to promote. They need to know if Roden can adjust to MLB pitching or if he is quad A player. They need to see Rodriguez because he is out of options next year. Wallner might get another look. Even Mendez could get a call up since he’s on the roster. They don’t have room to add five outfielders to the 26-man roster, even if they trade Larnach and Bell. Contract negotiations. I hope they are negotiating a long-term pre-debut contract for Jenkins. If they aren’t willing to bet on him, they won’t be willing to bet on anyone. Prospect promotion incentives. Jenkins isn’t going to win ROY this season but he could next year. They will want to keep him rookie eligible for 2027.

    Kody Clemens has a 624 OPS vs lefties. Austin Martin has a 780 OPS vs LHP. Keaschall can start at 2B and move to the OF when they pinch hit Clemens for Austin Martin.

    Terry Ryan had his fair share of poor up the middle defenders. The 2010 team was actually Bill Smith in charge.

    Look at his whole career. It is a history of hot and cold streaks. He won’t maintain June forever. He is like Minnesota weather in April. Depending on the wind direction we are either 10 degrees above or below average but never the average temperature.

    Morris might be better than all of those guys.

    Pitching while fatigued inevitably leads to injury. He can’t do his job injured.

    Aaron Rozek has out pitched Funderburk in AAA. He’s worth a look. He could give them an ERA around 5 instead of around 7. Relief pitching is the most overpriced thing to buy at the trade deadline. The Twins are about 5 relievers away from a playoff bullpen. I expect them to grab an arm or two off waivers from a team that upgraded their bullpen by trade and that’s about it.

    Gray is from Texas and played college ball at Rice. He got three games at SS in front of his family and friends. He can sit in New York against the lefty starters. Get Kreidler back to SS.

    Funderburk or Adams would also work. They’re trying to stretch Rojas out as a starter. I expect him to be in the rotation after the trade deadline.

    Will Keaschall move back to 2B with Clemens to the bench? If Buxton is not back, they have to give him an IL stint and call someone up.

    Sounds like you are perfectly willing to pay for premium seating and the most convenient parking. I parked under the 394 ramp for $15. I got home in no time because the crowd was about 15,000 fans. You want premium games with premium seats and the most convenient parking to cost what it does to attend a town ball game. That is not reasonable. Do you go to Las Vegas and complain it costs more than bingo night at the American Legion? Twins games can be really inexpensive but you need to attend a game against a less popular team on a weeknight, accept a slightly worse view of the game, park a block or two further away, and walk a couple hundred feet to the cheaper concession stand.

    There is no guarantee Larnach and Bell will continue to hit, especially Bell. Bell will go cold for a month at random times.
