    There are several. Google says Reynaldo Lopez, Michael King, Matt Barnes, Hogan Harris. Louis Varland increased his velocity, which improved his effectiveness. If Ober can throw 2-3 MPH faster he will be as effective as he was at his best.

    After the Twins Hall of Fame ceremonies, it would be prudent to ask him NOT to give a speech at this award ceremony.

    Seriously? I guess with robots taking over the job there aren’t many actual humans left to induct.

    Maeda pitched out of the bullpen for the Dodgers. I would definitely try Ober in relief before I would release him. A move to the bullpen could increase his velocity enough to become effective again.

    Not sure if he is old enough for Shelton. Better keep him in the minors a few more years while they play 29-year old waiver wire castoffs from other teams.

    I see Caratini as the obvious pinch hitter for Larnach in late innings. There is a very small chance they have a catcher injury and they can still move Caratini to C but they lose the DH for maybe one at-bat. At that point you use your last position player to pinch hit for the pitcher.

    Bader was awesome last season.

    Because of that option, he has $4M remaining at the trade deadline. Most contenders are looking for a better DH than Bell. He wasn’t traded last season and brought back very little the season before that.

    I avoid both terms command and control because they are so widely abused to make them useless.

    I agree, but they’re stuck with Bell this season. They backloaded his contract which makes him almost untradeable.

    I hope they trade Larnach so Bell can DH more. He has no range at first base.

    I am hopeful that Outman is playing himself onto the Phillies roster. The Phillies 4th outfielder was suspended half the season and they could use someone short term. Send him to Philly for any A ball player with a grade 40+ rating.

    Kopech has been quoted as wanting to pitch for a contender.

    The problem is that they don’t have a RH reliever who gets people out any better than these lefties.

    Can anyone name a contending team that punted the SS position? The Yankees punted defense at SS, but Jeter was a beast on offense.

    I would actually prefer he doesn't throw 100. 97 is plenty fast to get people out.

    Varland had a 4.53 ERA for the Blue Jays (including postseason). He's arbitration eligible in 2027. He's okay, but he's just a relief pitcher.

    I agree with your rotation. Even as the 6th starter, I'd bet Zebby Matthews gets 20 starts in the majors - assuming he stays healthy. With both Ryan and Ober looking like trade bait, the only pitcher I would convert to the bullpen is Festa.

    It is hard to think of good comps for this guy Naylor might be a best-case scenario for Gonzalez except he bats lefthanded. Austin Hays?
