  1. Tigers are partnering with MLB Detroit Tigers moving from FanDuel to MLB Media for 2026 season That makes 14 teams. I would not be surprised to see the Angels take the A's NBC Sports California deal when it ends.
  2. The Atlanta Braves are starting their own sports channel. Braves' TV broadcast rights drama just took a wild turn that could change everything
  3. The Blue Jays are owned by the TV network, so they're pretty solid. It's basically the MLB package for all of Canada.
  4. Potential trade options Riley O'Brien - Cardinals Jimmy Herget - Rockies Edwin Uceta - Rays
  5. MLB confirms that it will be handling broadcasts for the Brewers, Marlins, Rays, Royals, Cardinals and Reds. If you want to change your favorite team to the Brewers for 2026, that's a new option. Also, Twins-Brewers games won't be blacked out on Twins TV. MLB now controls broadcast rights for 13 teams: Brewers, Marlins, Rays, Royals, Cardinals, Reds, Mariners, Nationals, Padres, Diamondbacks, Rockies, Twins and Guardians. The Braves, Tigers and Angels have not formalized plans. Teams with their own local broadcast deals: Dodgers ($200M), Yankees ($145M), Blue Jays, Phillies ($125M), Red Sox ($100M), Cubs ($100M), Giants ($90M), Mets ($90M), Rangers ($75M), Astros ($73M), Athletics ($70M), White Sox ($60M), Orioles ($60M), and Pirates. The Athletics lose their TV deal when they move to Las Vegas.
  6. I think there are actually plenty of options, but they have to convert some starting pitchers. Ober, Festa, Prielipp, Raya, Abel and Morris are all possibilities.
  7. One year, $15M with a mutual option. I wish the Twins had made that deal. Suarez is a 30+ HR slugger who would have looked great at 1B.
  8. JoJo Romero is the most likely reliever to get traded before the season begins. They're going to need guys with huge strikeout rates to be successful. They will have one of the worst defenses in baseball.
  9. "I think it's a topic" means they don't have anyone.
  10. I think the disagreement was more on the business side than it was on the baseball side. If Mr. Pohlad was upset about how the baseball side was run he would also fire Zoll. Instead, Zoll got a promotion.
  11. Is there any news about a buyout in Falvey’s contract? That could explain the timing.
  12. I would be frustrated too if ownership said, "Spend the money to get Carlos Correa" followed by "Cut spending $30M".
  13. Convert a starter, try to flip him at the deadline if the experiment is successful.
  14. That's when they demoted St. Peter and promoted Falvey.
  15. Every fired CEO who says they want to spend more time with their family is lying.
  16. Tom Pohlad seems to have some experience actually running a business. He seems to have left PAR in better shape than he found it. We will get to see how the "difference of opinion" plays out. There is nobody left to buy in free agency, so they can't pivot and spend money even if they wanted to. My guess is we will see Joe Ryan traded. Nobody is buying tickets. That means nobody will care if the team is good or terrible in 2026. Don't expect Buxton, Lopez, Jeffers, Bell or Ober to be with the team in September.
  17. Considering how bad Adams was, I certainly hope so. If the others can't beat a 7.49 ERA, then why were they added to the roster? Putting Adams on the 40-man roster to avoid the Rule 5 draft looks like a mistake.
  18. Did he really set that as a goal? His goal for the season was to finish out of the playoffs and waste the trade value of Jeffers, Ryan, Buxton and Lopez just to win 75 games instead of winning 65 games?
  19. They need to replace both Ohl and Adams with better pitchers.
  20. If the Twins truly are waiting for an offer they can't refuse, they should realize that the players they have to trade (Ryan, Lopez, Jeffers, Buxton) are declining in value with every game they play. Ober is the only one who might be worth more in July than he is right now.
