    Twins Hall of Fame? His entire list of league wide awards is: AL Player of the Week August 7 2016 AL Player of the Week May 26 2019 I like Max Kepler but there's no reason to exaggerate his accomplishments.

    I'm glad that Rocco is disappointed in this season and upset with himself. I have little confidence that he will be able to change his habits to address his weaknesses. Is he capable of self-analysis and changing his preparation and training?

    If they really feel they need to keep Rocco because he is under contract and they don't want to pay two managers then that's one more piece of evidence that the bottom line is more important than winning.

    If they "can't afford" Pablo Lopez then they will never be able to compete and I have no idea why they signed Carlos Correa (or Christian Vazquez). If they absolutely need to dump $20M in salary the players to move are Vazquez and Paddack. The reason to go Friday is the weather is terrific, Pablo is fun to root for and baseball is almost gone for months. Go out and enjoy a night at the ballpark.

    Injuries happen in MLB. The Twins were basically middle of the pack in games lost to injuries by their starting players. The biggest problem wasn't leaning on rookies, it was leaning on bad veteran players (Santana, Margot, Farmer, Okert) and not making any adjustments to the roster when it was clear changes needed to be made. This team refused to adjust from their plan in March even when it was clearly not working. I don't know what the minor league development plan is for the rookies to learn how to play baseball but there are issues with fundamentals and baseball IQ that are not being addressed in the minor leagues. Some of that is developing players to play at one position in the minors, then promoting them to play a completely different position in the major leagues. That doesn't explain problems with baserunning or situational hitting. They have been able to improve the talent of their minor league pitchers, but the position player development seems to be "teach them to hit for power, they'll figure the rest out in the majors".

    Do you think they are going to bring in high-priced veteran talent to keep the rookies in AAA?

    I have no idea how Margot survived the entire season on the roster. The Twins have this obsession with keeping "their guys" all season. Someone needs to explain "sunk costs" to this front office.

    Season ticket renewals are going to plummet. The fanbase does not want to watch Rocco manage this team anymore.

    If the Twins want Polanco back they should be able to sign him this offseason quite cheaply. He was bad this year at the plate and in the field but that hasn't stopped them from signing guys before. Michael A Taylor was also bad this season - cut by the Pirates.

    They generally go to college to play baseball. You're not going to see them playing in the Dominican league for teenagers.

    I'm becoming less of a fan of the Twins and more of a fan of watching MLB in general. I haven't attended a Twins game at all this year. There were a couple times I thought about going but they actually put the Twins on TV that weekend and I watched at home instead. The only baseball game I attended in person was seeing a Cubs game at Wrigley Field on vacation.

    Topa has struggled with injuries his entire career. Last year was probably his healthiest season. If you want to have a bullpen with 6 healthy, performing pitchers you need to start with 12 high potential arms.

    Pitchers are going to pitch year-round either in bullpen sessions or in games. There is no magic reset button that happens to innings when the calendar hits January 1. There is plenty of time between the end of the AFL and the beginning of the next season to recover. They already know that Eeles can hit bad A-ball pitching. He has nothing to prove in the AFL.

    Everyone's bat should take a step up. There are several top 100 prospect position players but absolutely none among pitchers. Expect high scoring games as good hitters tee off on mediocre to poor pitching.

    Santana hasn't really done much since June. .218/.316/.396 since the All-Star break. .661 OPS vs RHP.
