  1. I'm betting it's a tiered PTBNL, the better Jeppy pitches, the better the prospect... doh! thinking Cotts
  2. not a fan of your best hitter batting cleanup, especially with no one behind him
  3. i like the Dozier power threat behind Sano more than the Mauer single/walk threat
  4. interesting... you'd get Sano more at bats, and more runners in front of him, i like it
  5. I live in 'Merica where not wearing pants is typically frowned upon for everyone outside of their homes.
  6. you should try Zubaz, soft, comfy, and airy, almost like not wearing pants, but way more socially acceptable than tighty whiteys
  7. Last year was awesome, wish I could go this year
  8. Sano is a prospect and needs to continue developing fielding somewhere. He is too good of a fielder to not at least play first, preferably third. Mauer is an OK first basemen, but is ailing or something. I think Plouffe or Sano could become a better first baseman and hit better than Joe very quickly.
  9. Arcia, Vargas, Kepler, and ABW are all real big question marks, and Hunter will probably be re-signed (unfortunately). Mauer, Plouffe, and Sano rotating through 1st, 3rd, and DH wouldn't be all bad. It'd be nice if the Twins got defensive value from both Sano and Plouffe day in and out. I think the tell would be if Sano starts increasing his work at playing first base this off season. What they will do and what they should do, I think they will keep status quo and come into 2016 the same as 2015. I think they should either 1) move Mauer into full time DH or bench roll and get the defensive value from both Plouffe and Sano at the same time. 2) trade Plouffe Of anyone on the team, he has the most ready player behind him on the depth chart and has the most trade value. its a really great problem to have, and if the team went option one, I certainly wouldn't be upset. If Sano ends up being the DH again in 2016, I'll be slightly annoyed, he has the fielding tools, and he needs to develop them.
  10. hi.... Ummm.... Long time listener, first time caller... I have a question... Pelfrey stinks!.... Another question.... I agree with your take on fair food, delicious and multitask-able... Perfect combination with beer
  11. and really, when was the last time you heard a TV baseball announcer say anything of value? they just babble for 3.5 to 4 hours per day with a baseball game playing behind them.
  12. home runs aren't "In Play" so .... Nope
  13. he can't be demoted to Rochester, he would need to be DFA'd, and 1) get claimed, 2) accept assignment to Rochester or 3) elect free agency. MLB contracts are guaranteed no idea of accuracy, but according to the link below, pension has a 43 day vesting period, and healthcare has a 1 day, lifetime benefit, so if accurate, yup Shuga Shane would take all three with him where ever he goes. http://benefitsbryancave.com/major-league-baseball-pension-and-healthcare-benefits/
  14. Who's Brad Boyer? I have no problem stashing JR Graham in the bullpen if the bullpen is much, much better. But it's not...
  15. How does Hunter provide some kind of guarantee? I agree with you, I think that TR will try to resign Hunter, and probably succeed as some kind of safety net. But should he? Nope! Nope, nope, nope, nope, nope. Utility guys getting starts in the outfield isn't for lack of outfielders available. Its for lack of appreciation for good fielding outfielders. TR should spend his offseason improving catcher, SS, and bullpen, and offloading crap contracts such as Nolasco's. Don't resign Hunter, please?
  16. If the team was in third place in the division all season, made a big late push in August and September fueled by the youngsters, but came up a bit short. Yes it would be a successful season. On the other hand, being firmly in second place and the third best team in the AL for half the season, then fading quicklb while missing the post season, would not be. There's still time to make a big push in August and September, but looks unlikely given the state of pitching.
  17. I shall be telling this with a sigh Somewhere ages and ages hence: Two roads diverged in a wood, and I— I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference. FORK U! Wooooo
  18. Arbitration elligible for 2016. so not technically signed, but probably will be, knowing TR
  19. I don't ever want to hear Bert talk about anyone coming out of the closet, no matter how innocent the intention
  20. That was a really effective Sac bunt by Hicks
  21. What? You can't pinch hit for a catcher in the 9th! What if the backup gets injured?
