  1. then he could make three appearances in the same game
  2. it should be Pelfrey, but he started the game and can't come back in
  3. "Boyer is a lot like Stauffer" .... Really poor old has-been pitchers...
  4. if he came up this early, it guarantees that he goes back down, but the way Moli's been using the bench in the OF, he must be begging TR for OF help.
  5. Rosario isn't coming up until after Super 2 date in june
  6. bingo, Hicks and Pinto are the two guys on the 40 in AAA in position of need, and considering that Escobar has played 2 games in the OF and Nunez has played 1, in 10 games, Moli can make a case he needs to improve the outfield. I think Pinto improves the catching, and Hermann improves the OF over The Eduardos and Hunter, and allows Hicks to continue to develop in AAA, but I'm not TR or Moli
  7. so is Kluber, someone needs to remind Twins starters they too can pitch more than 5 innings...
  8. Infielders in the outfield... Better than Hunter, but for Chitown... ISH
  9. true enough, he's probably the best option for the Twins until Buxton is ready, he's just not good enough to be an every day big leaguer. Maybe he could've been had he not been the sacrificial lamb. Now? Ick. I hope he proves me wrong, but man, just lost in the bigs
  10. absolutely damning of the whole front office.... If Hunter was "just" a marketing ploy, I'd give TR more credit than not knowing Hunter was well past done 2 years ago or more. As far as Molitor goes, of course the team looks unprepared, it's a whole new coaching staff and a rookie manager who's never managed a day in his life, it's not his fault any more than it is Hunter's. Offer me 10 million (or 1 million) to look like a fool, I'd put on the big floppy shoes and clown nose too. I don't think Hunter or Moli wants to be a clown, but for Hunter the money is very persuasive, and Moli, you can't help but listen when everyone says you're a baseball genius.
  11. but now is not the time to add Buxton. While the team desperately needs him, he's not ready. Maybe September... Sano on the other hand seems like he's close, if TR can swing a trade for Plouffe, he has his 3rd baseman. I'm with you on Eric Fryer, lots of faith in Hermann, and it seems like Pinto isn't trusted behind the plate. If Zooks gets hurt or Hermann hermits, my fear is TR wouldn't part with a terrible bullpen/BP pitcher but remove Beans...
  12. baseball is a business. The Twins are an entrepreneurial enterprise. Winning games will help the team make more money, but it is a means to an end.
