The Twins Can't Ignore Kyler Fedko Much Longer... Right?
mikelink45 replied to Sam Caulder's topic in Twins Minor League Talk
And we are paying for tickets - try the hot bats. -
The Twins BP game might not have been such an aberration if Morris had done well. He has been a starter and could have gone more than two if he had been effective. I do agree that Parades could have gone another inning or two since he has mostly been a starter too. It is not the number of RP but the quality that counts and Rogers no longer has it. Lawrence is an interesting pick up but he has not passed the test. We have no shut down arm in the pen. Gomez has been the best arm so far.

I quit early on this game so I missed the errors and the errors that were not marked as errors. I feel like the Twins and baseball in general do not get called on errors like they should. Not sure if this is to give hitters more hits or helping the fielders, but it ends up distorting the pitching stats. I love good fielding and think that baseball needs to do some more glove work.

The Twins Can't Ignore Kyler Fedko Much Longer... Right?
mikelink45 replied to Sam Caulder's topic in Twins Minor League Talk
I prefer to see rather than project. I asked Google about baseball projections and this is what I got - Baseball player projections are reasonably accurate on a macro level for league-wide averages, but highly unpredictable for individual player outcomes. Because projection systems predict a player's median outcome across thousands of simulations, they generally nail team-wide offensive trends while frequently missing on individual variables like injuries, slumps, or breakout seasons. -
One problem he has is that we now have mediocre (lousy) catchers. But my only message is don't trade Ryan! We do not have another potential ace coming in and Lopez has now blown two seasons of his contract with injuries.

Promote him or trade him. The A's might like another of our rejected power hitters to go with Rooker. -
I like that they pushed Prielipp to six innings. They could have changed earlier, but I love to see him stretched. What has happened with SWR? Any club claiming him? My big question is about catcher interference - are we setting a new record? Both Jackson and Caratini getting called for it. I don't remember many games where it has been an issue, but we seem to have something that needs to change. Add that to Caraini's inability to stop the steal and a blocked plate call and we have had too many catcher mistakes.

Lewis has his bat working - time to bring him up and let him debut for a trade. How long before Prielipp and Morris leave the Prospect list? When they do who replaces them.

Minnesota Twins Hitter of the Month: May 2026

I have been wondering if Clemens playing centerfield is a step towards dropping Outman. I sure hope so.- 7 replies

I have wondered why Tait has gotten so much love over Diaw. I put Diaw in the lead and we need catchers.

I love this - my disagreement is in the list of honorable mention - if you can't hit 250 in the minors I am not impressed with the hitting. Seeing Sabato number one is shocking. I gave up on him 2 years ago - now I would love to see him replace Bell - why not? I am also delighted to see Olivar up there. Jackson and Caratini are not a pair want to see on the team next year. It will be interesting to see where Mendez fits in with the Walker/Emma promotions (of course if he stays healthy he has a big advantage). Fedko just seems to be in limbo even when the team keeps Outman - My head hurts trying to figure this out. What is the major league potential for Ross? He has the Keaschall, Lee, Culpepper, Gray, Kreidler, Lewis and Marek log jam to work throught so how does he rank in this grouping?

Ranking the AL Central Teams as May Turns to June
mikelink45 replied to Ray Stuedemann's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
How lucky are the Twins to be in this division? We would be fifth in the AL East, 4th in the AL west, last in NL central, 4th in NL west, and 4th in NL east. We are 21st in combined overall standings and tenth in combined AL standing. We are just not good and I am afraid we are descending not ascending.- 5 replies

A sad day - good for Lee - Parades got his mlb debut - what else can I say about the team that is nice? It might take a while. So Ober who has had three clunkers in a row is now IL. Zebby is looking like the same Zebby that failed the last two years. What is our rotation? Ryan, Bradley....help! Will Morris start a game? Will Klein? Then if we take them out of the BP- what do we do in the Pen? I have no faith in the pitching Codies. But wasn't it nice that they Outman a chance to PH? 654 - that is his total - not OPS, but AOPS - all three of his slash line added together. What more does he have to do to be cut?

This is who we are - we just need to keep shuffling the pieces until we are ready to climb out of the hole. Ober has not done well in any of the three games since his Maddux - no way to cover up. The trouble with Ober's change up is that his fastball is already a change up. I am enjoying Lee's resurgence and hoping this game got Keaschall back! Larnach has been okay, but where is his power? Martin is coming down from his great start. Funderburk and Lawyerson are not going to rescue the BP. I am just going to enjoy baseball and wait until the team sorts out what the future will look like.

Fun speculation, but injuries will readjust it. I think Lewis is really having fun in St Paul. I do not know if he fits in on the Twins Roster. I see him more as a trade candidate. Watching Keaschall at second last night was painful. His glove does not work. If he got his hitting going he could be DH. And if Lewis does return he too can be DH. Bell getting cut or benched would not hurt the team.

I think I am having a difficulty with the calendar - it seems like Walker has been on the IL more than 7 days - seeing him on the IL with Rodriguez everyday is so frustrating when we need help in Minneapolis. Who would you drop from the top twenty and who would you add - there have been enough games played now that we can start to re-evaluate. Ben Ross seems like a good add.

Two games in one - first 5 went well, 6,7,8 - boring. Then we bring in Rogers who is not the pitcher that he was in the first round. He just does not have enough left in the tank for important innings like the 9th. But then, if they did not score, we might have continued our punchless ways for however many innings it went. By the way Rogers has a 4.15 ERA - unacceptable for a RP. AND A 1.569 whip - totally unacceptable.

Lewis is raising his trade value - that is good. Not sure his attitude helps the team. But what about Wallner - he is down for a reset too and no where close to Lewis output. 200/327/289 is not going to do it. Put the two together in a package deal. We have a lot of expendables.
