    I think in a case like this, the trainer's name should be announced so that other players know who they might want to avoid. If the trainer denies it, fine, but let's air all this out. Players deserve to know. If they blame their trainer wrongly, let the trainer sue them. This will never stop otherwise.

    How did a foul ball to the chin result in a rod being inserted in his leg? EDIT- shin, got it. I do believe that leg injuries might be more easily aggravated when that leg is propping up a large body compared to a small body, but that's just a guess...

    Thanks- I'd characterize that as however long it takes to show he's back to pre-injury form. That makes sense to me.

    Fair enough- what do you think constitutes "proving himself" for a prospect? Two full seasons somewhere? A year at AA or above? I'm never quite sure where that line is for myself and it's interesting to hear what others use. The age-old potential vs. track record debate, I suppose. Anyway, just wondering what your personal stance is on that.

    Plus we've done pretty well trading for and trading him, so I'm willing to get back into that market.

    Agreed, though I think it might be more accurate to say that he hits well off the Twins. Even a better reason not to sign him!
