  1. Senate odds down to 11.9%, low point of the night, so far.
  2. The first competitive race to be called has gone the Republicans. Florida's 6th district, Waltz over Soderberg.
  3. 538 real time odds: Dems up to 94.1% to control house, down to 14.6% to control senate. Those senate odds are down from 15% pre election, but are up from 12.6% 15 minutes ago.
  4. On the Senate side, Braun is crushing Donnelly in Indiana. Only 10% reporting, but it's Braun +20, yikes.
  5. McGrath lead widening with every update, that's a good sign I guess.
  6. McGrath with a slight lead in Kentucky (18% reporting). The rest of the swing races all leading red at the moment.
  7. They got my vote for Attorney General. I found the domestic abuse allegations against Ellison credible enough that I couldn't in good conscience vote for him.
  8. We're supposed to believe it's a complete coincidence that it was on Election day, and was to take place near a polling station in a densely minority neighborhood? I mean, you can believe that if you want to, but I don't.
  9. From the link in the OP: "according to a report by MLB.com's Jon Paul Morosi earlier this year, multiple MLB scouts believe he could profile as high as a No. 2 starter in the big leagues." And, even if he is only a #3 starter, how often do 27 year old #3 starters hit the market?
  10. No thanks to Dozier, especially for $8 million. I think he's cooked. Maybe a non guaranteed ST invite, but nothing more.
  11. The President of our country is using armed government agents to blatantly suppress opposition voters, and somehow it's not front and center on every news outlet in the country. I had to find it buried in a local news feed. He does so many outrageous things that we're desensitized to stuff like this. And this is exactly the type of tactics that people like Hitler and Mussolini used to gain complete control. Every time something like this goes unchecked, I become more and more convinced that we are seeing the beginning stages of a ruthless dictatorship.
  12. I can't even comprehend how fervourously Walter Cronkite would be rolling in his grave: "Fox News hosts Sean Hannity and Jeanine Pirro joined President Trump on stage at his final campaign rally of the midterms, singing the president's praises and urging attendees to vote Republican."
  13. Voter suppression in full force: "U.S. Customs and Border Protection announced Monday evening that U.S. Border Patrol agents "will be conducting a crowd control exercise" in El Paso on Tuesday, Election Day. El Paso is Democratic Senate candidate Rep. Beto O'Rourke's home and political base — he held his final rally there Monday night — and the "mobile field force demonstration" will start at 10 a.m. between El Paso's primarily Latino Chihuahuita neighborhood and that neighborhood's designated polling location, about half a mile away, Texas Monthly reports."
  14. The over the fence home run says hello.
  15. If they received a paycheck from the Twins, they are an ex Twin.
  16. I stopped reading after you said trade for Verlander after the Astros are out of it in July. Short of the team airplane crashing, and Verlander being the sole survivor, I can't picture a scenario where the Astros are out of it in July.
  17. I think the key word is "both". No, not every team is in on both. Most teams don't have the resources to go after both, whether they choose to confirm or not doesn't change that.
  18. They received a $50 million check for their share of the sale of BamTech. 50% of that extra revenue is $25 million, which is where the extra payroll in 2018 came from.
  19. The poster I quoted specifically said 3 individual starters get 180+ innings each, not combined innings for a spot.
  20. Only 35 pitchers pitched 180+ innings last year. Quite doubtful that the Twins are going to find 3 that can do that.
  21. Hunter is having a monster game.
  22. I disagree on the first part of that. It was a couple of years ago, so my memory is a little hazy, but I believe PFF had Remmers as either the worst or 2nd worst RT in football. The Vikings internal evaluation must have been similar as well. I think they moved him inside hoping they could salvage something out of him there. Clearly he can't play there either, though. I'd imagine he's out of football after this year.
  23. Yeah, even if you erase all of his at bats versus lefties, Cruz's OPS still would have been the highest on the Twins roster.
  24. Interesting strategy for the lions to keep throwing at Rhodes. Stupid, but interesting.
