  1. I agree, Gasper looked awful at 2b. He could DH, but I would much prefer they bring up McCrusher.
  2. That is how I feel as well. Paddack is an adequate 5th starter; however, with our quality younger arms, I'd like them in the rotation. However, if Paddack can continue to be a reasonable 5th starter, he will have some value at the trade deadline. Perhaps he will be worth a good back-up catcher. If that happens, then keeping Paddack in the rotation as trade bait makes the most sense to me.
  3. Looking forward to his transition to AA. Based on this excellent article, I've moved him up on my personal rankings.
  4. I think it's important to consider relative readiness to help the Twins this year which is why I have McCusker in the top 10.
  5. I like Bride thus far and his track record from 2024 is indicative that he can help and stay on the team. He makes a good alternative to France so that the Twins are less dependant on him.
  6. Optimism is a good thing and I think yours is pragmatic. I'm with ya!
  7. if you can trade Alcala, great; if not let him go. history tells us, that he is 13th man on the staff guy. he simply is not someone that can be consistently counted despite his flashes.
  8. I'd like to see the Twins go with a 6 man rotation for a few turns through the rotation. Paddack looked good the past 2 starts. Longer term, I think he helps as a reliever. For now, I would send Alcala down.
  9. Launch Baldelli. It's obviously true that there are deeper issues with the organization, but firing Baldelli would be a start.
  10. It's a reasonable stop/gap move. At least the man can field. Gotta get healthy.
  11. I'm not the biggest Falvey fan, but the Twins are certainly enjoying Harrison Bader & Ty France.
  12. Julien is showing serious progress! But I'm not with you on Gasper. I just don't see it. I can see him backing up first base and as an emergency catcher.
  13. I was at the spring training game against the red sox when Gasper was spiked. It was entirely his fault as he jumped in front of the SS who was about to make the play. He also threw a ball into the dugout; same game.
  14. We are all entitled to our opinions; however, what I've seen of Gasper has been terrible at 2nd.
  15. I've been extremely critical of Julien. I am thrilled that he is hitting but remain unconvinced that he can play 2B. That said, he's certainly our best bet now with all the injuries. Gasper can NOT play 2nd.
  16. Buxton has not hit to expectations, but he has been hustling. 4 SB's and taking the extra base.
  17. I thought keaschel was playing some 2b with St. Paul as well as DH. if yes, i would call him up and let him split some time there as well as DH. of course, that rules out mccusker.
  18. As others have noted, the Twins have a lot of infielders whose upside is not high enough to warrant regular play on a good major league team. Lewis should be. Keaschel...we hope...please? I do like that Miranda was sent down the day he stopped running the bases. Martin would be up now if not for his injury, but let's face it; he isn't the answer either.
