    Went to my first Saints game of the season last night. Usually exciting to watch young players on their way to the show. None of that. Lots of AAAA guys, failed prospects and roster fillers. If the Twins are going to turn their season around, it will be with the players they have... No sparks coming from this group 🫤

    Sunday night's game was a stark comparison between a very well run organization and a very poorly run organization. Similar payrolls, managers with similar game management philosophies, both top 10 farm systems, both mid-market and AL Central. One team ascending, the other in a steep decline.

    I'm buying the theory that Falvey was getting some guaranteed money for his faithful soldier. It has been reported the extension was made sometime during spring training... When it was still believed that Ishbia was buying the team. And, I would not be surprised if the Pohlads actually believed the announcement would be a positive to the fan base. They are that tone deaf 🙄

    The Twins need to be sellers. The team is not good. With the expanded playoffs, the trade deadline is a seller's market. But I suspect Falvey & Sons are as poor at trade negotiations as they are at team construction. We'll hear again how there were no good offers. Has no one in the FO ever bought a used car, for Pete's sake!!

    I always wondered why they have Paddack a rehab deal, but not Mahle?

    Buy or sell, but don't do nothing as in the past 2 deadlines! Buy if you think they can make any sort of playoff run. Sell if you don't. Doing nothing is a cop-out so they can say they were right whether the Twins succeed or fail.

    I do hope Baldelli has realized that less is more. The limited roster options have forced him to let the players play. Turns out, there are some good ball players on this team!

    I think this is more of a FO issue of 40 man roster and service time management. Both of which seem to squander youth at AAA.

    Lee strikes me as a well rounded Baseball player. This team could use a whole lot more of that!

    The team experienced an epic collapse, on the field and in the clubhouse. The same players are back, with a couple of low leverage moves, the manager is still here and the POBO got promoted! It is no surprise that they picked up right where they left off!

    This is what makes the Dodgers so dangerous. Not only is Guggenheim Partners very liquid, they have the expertise to convert their players to self funding income streams.

    Put me in the pessimistic column. I was at several of the September games last year. That team was pathetic. I've been a Twins fan for 60 years, so I've seen some bad baseball. That was beyond the pale. And now the ownership/FO have chosen to run it back and hope for a different result. Every player on the team should have started ST playing for their job! Why would we expect them to be anything other than the 4th place team they were last year?
