  1. No problem with making changes - his stuff isn’t that bad at all - command & guts seem to be the issues. Just gotta have a plan before DFAing………,Paredes is obviously in the PEN …… I would prefer Rojas as well v. one of the current 8…….apparently Raya is on IL. Rojas - Paredes - Morris - Rogers - Gomez - Funderburk - Go🤞 - Adams or Orze ……..”thin” in a couple spots!!
  2. Buxton has started 75 of 93 games ….., probably an expected or even hopeful amount. Jeffers has started 36 of 93 games. Brooks Lee used to play SS & Luke Keaschall used to play 2B. Wallner & Lewis sent down…..Outman on Roster. Lopez out for the year at start of Spring Training. Ober - Festa - Abel all down for significant stretches. Close to worst bullpen in baseball. FO can’t anticipate the level of injuries to starters ……… nobody’s fault. How are the Twins a game or two out of 1st place in the Division??? ……..guys have performed both at plate & on mound in clutch situations..,,,,,,,,hope they keep it rolling!
  3. Mgr. doesn’t have infinite choices out of the Twin’s PEN. Guys are on roster to pitch - like a professional - to their expected abilities. Blaming the manager is tough to get behind ….. match-ups and availability all play into Mgr. decisions. Players play.
  4. If Roden gets 1 more hit over next 4 games, seems Fedko will be a lock to be sent down after the break as Buxton returns.
  5. Was thinking to myself a bit ago, Ober gets activated today, who gets demoted? ……. if Orze has options, he’s the prime candidate!
  6. Paredes was up in the PEN in the 8th last night …… don’t do that ahead of a start. Guys in booth seemed to be positive Ober gets today’s start.
  7. Is Emma viable? I thought he was out at least through July……..& then returning from a thumb injury after 8 weeks off…….doesn’t seem viable? If not trying to Win, trading Bell and DHing Larnach makes a bunch of sense. ……… Keaschall is a DH option v. LH pitching as well.
  8. Emma can’t play to my knowledge…….hurt, nearly always. ……… I read this morning that Roden is ready…….anybody that gives Team a better chance than Fedko is good with me. 40 man is a detail, Gray being demoted would free 40 man space as he would be a DFA to my knowledge……….my comments were respectful of Jenkins stage of development or should have been….”if he & the organization think he’s ready” is my thought. Again, anybody else that has potential to be helpful.
  9. So Bell isn’t even contributing to winning games? You’re delusional. He had a pretty good April - a horrid May - has been in June and a big part of the Team’s RISP batting average…….he’s got 60 RBI. His WAR value was -.8 a month ago & now it’s .6 ……..that’s a turnaround! Gotta decide if Team wants to Win or just look at young guys in a losing environment.
  10. I agree - chemistry, biggest reason (along with Kreider needing to play CF) Gray still gets starts and AB’s. For me, Aricia for Gray & Jenkins for Fedko, right after the break - maybe for the Angels series?
  11. “……with potentially high impact prospects….” The #1 picks are finally contributing …… Lee - Lewis - Larnach - Martin (from Jays)……. Jenkins - Culpepper - Houston are all guys that were #1’s and should contribute later in ‘26 or in ‘27. IMO, cannot be continually flipping guys to “potentially” have a bright future. Don’t see much choice but to flip Jeffers. Could couple his $$ & add the $7M to Caratini, and add $3-$4M to try and extend Jeffers and trade Caratini at absolute Max. Value. Can’t waive Jackson……..somebody that’s a Catcher gets traded. Larnach is in his prime ($4.5M) - Clemens couldn’t be any higher value making the minimum ……extend him with modest $$ for 2 more years……he has obvious value with his flexibility on D. Ryan’s a judgement call based on whether the Team is trying to be “competitive”. His trade in off-season with right partner, is still a good option.
  12. Kreidler played well in CF & contributed offensively……..you are obviously a proponent of Fedko……..that’s a tough guy to back. Fedko should be displaced, after the break.
  13. Questioning the strategy with a guy that’s just returned from being banged up is valid. The only reason he’s not “a Superstar” throughout baseball, with his talent, is due to a career filled with injuries & missed time. The wording the guy used to comment was harsh ………. sometimes, however, staying healthy & taking actions that promote staying healthy are the absolute right thing to do. The best ability is availability, as they say. Byron (MikeTrout as well) is the poster child for this premise. btw, I was hoping he’d run on 3-2 to avoid double play & get into scoring position……..but probably not smart
  14. IF Jenkins thinks he’s ready per coaching staff in St Paul, he should be moved up ASAP in July. He cannot underperform relative to Fedko. That experiment has run its course for now. Arcia for Gray has to be a consideration - the defense can’t be a step back & Gray seems to have exhausted any confidence he was riding at the plate. Jenkins & Arcia for Fedko & Gray seems fairly obvious. Again, if coaches think Jenkins has the self belief - he’s 21.
  15. He’s hit 4 HR in the last week (that’s great!) doesn’t mean he’s an All-star. He hit 3 in 3 days to get his OPS to .811. ……..I like the 35 XBH!! …… projects to 60 XBH for the year - that would be sweet. BA .248 ……… OBP .311 Luke Keaschall’s OBP is near .340 as a comparison.
  16. 1 guy ……….. that’s correct. Who else is an All-star? ………… Jeffers had a great shot prior to injury. Can’t imagine who else? Larnach is second highest performer - offensively but not really All-star. material.
  17. Obviously, you need to take over as hitting coach - nobody will ever strike out again. Very anxious to see!!
  18. Tired of Orze as well but he makes me giddy by comparison to Lawyerson & Adams. At least Orze is effective 6/7 times out of 10. Hartwig seems to have had a hot June ….., let him give it a shot ……. Culpepper, all for him getting a chance! Adding Rojas & one of these two guys mentioned would at least be some new, reasonable options for Shelton & Macki & Hawkins to work with ……..
  19. 100% agree with last paragraph. Morris - Rojas - etc. need to mature and learn how to get MLB hitters out ……… starting as a reliever makes that development time easier to handle, IMO. Can gain experience and help team while refining skills that will help them going forward in the Rotation or from the PEN.
  20. The degree of angst over whether Rojas should be a starter or reliever seems way over the top for a 23 year old that’s been in the organization for 11 months. Santana threw out of the PEN at least 2 1/2 years at MLB level as he refined things and got adjusted to MLB life & MLB hitters. If Rojas throws in relief (I think he should next 3 months) it doesn’t matter to me whether he’s throwing 1 inning or 2 2/3……….he’s pitching for the betterment of the Team’s chances, and Adams & Lawyerson are not. Him displacing a much less talented guy in the PEN is what I’d like to see in the very near term. If the Team wants him to get a few starts, stretch him out after they punt due to record & allow him 3-4 starts in September. In the meantime use him in shorter stints to keep his innings down & to help get guys out for the TEAM.
  21. Bell is 8 RBI behind the leader in all of baseball @ 56. IMO, he had a good April & a terrible May……..he’s been hot for weeks, don’t think he can get hotter in 2nd half……. I guess we can hope for more consistency. He’s not a .300 hitter/30 HR guy, so that’s too high a bar. If he hits .250 and keeps driving in runs with RISP, I’ll be thrilled.
  22. Keaschall may not play a total of 15 innings the rest of the season at 2B. Clemens not going to bench unless he’s hurt! I agree on Buxton ….. not sure how far back they can go with retroactive IL stint? 1 week off for Buck would allow somebody to get their toes wet before the Break. 2 lefties in NY this weekend though.
  23. Lewis has a 84 OPS + but seems everyone sees he’s turned a corner……. Bell, coming in this year, has always been streaky. Not a great attribute. Bottom line (he hit in April) is he’s been hitting for 28 games and he’s driving in runs …… I’ll give him a break on the cumulative season numbers……….I very well could be negatively pointing to them by end of the month?? Hope not!
  24. I saw the other night that Caratini was 4th in OPS in June in baseball (don’t think I misunderstood?)……. they are also riding him a bunch behind the plate. Maybe he’s relaxed with every day AB’s?? He and Bell have completely turned around what they did in May, which was really bad! Keaschall is riding their coattails……..throw in Lewis resurgence and the line-up is Looong all of a sudden.
  25. My addition after looking at results on schedule …… to me it appears that after going 3-11 from April 15-April 30, since May 1 the Team is 28-28 through July 1st. With some addition to OF depth from Farm - just one guy - it allows Kreidler to play SS 80% plus of games. He can’t play everyday & they need a second guy that’s capable….. Gray or even Arcia. LH bat and roster stability, Gray probably gets the nod. With Jeffers back, do they play him & lose Jackson via waivers? Do they carry 3 Catchers for couple weeks?…….do they immediately trade Jeffers when he’s ready, to a team betting on the come for Jeffer’s health? Bottom line, if Ober can be just OK & Prielipp holds together, they can add Rojas - Sands Paredes to PEN in July. To me, it’s realistic for them to win 40 of last 74 games……maybe not likely, but realistic. 2B - 3B - 1B all seem to be stabilized defensively & offensively. Big change from late April!…….. Big change since late May! The organization seems intent on trying to win by actually making moves, only internally to date. Maybe a surprise buy or trade at the deadline……..🤞
