  1. However for the umpteenth time a batter (Celestino in the same SF situation) watches a fat 3-0 pitch go by then swings at pitcher’s pitches. A real peeve of mine. I say bomb’s away 3-0.
  2. So are we going to lose this one on a dumb rule where you can get catcher’s interference when the batter doesn’t even swing. Then we get a SO in a SF situation on a bad ump call.
  3. Ever since Urshela non retouch it’s been one dumb thing after another. Looks like we’ll have to be happy to beat Toronto and almost New York.
  4. I wish Polo could ashcan that dang side arm throws.
  5. Sad all the good undone by dumb. Ever since Urshela not retouch base it’s been south. Then Correa of all people. And why so snake bit by any ex Twins at bat no matter how bad their previous season no matter what team? Think Schoop Detroit and now Hicks.
  6. Is there something wrong with his head or is it his eyes? He strikes out like Sano. What’s annoying is that after all his injuries maybe not his fault this knee goes back to a dumb move of not making up his mind to slide or not and so coming up with a flop. Duffy? After this Tuesday night of more nibbling, aiming, yanking, walking and choking what? Maybe Rocco finally grasped that he can’t be used in big spots until something changes if it ever does.
  7. We sit here with about entire starting staff out and half the position players but never mentioned on ESPN. Just excuses for Chicago.
  8. I can’t help but think it’ll be Hicks that’ll kill us. Done little all year like Schoop from Detroit then kills us cuz he’s an ex Twin. We seem to have one on every team.
  9. When he comes in with these big leads what does he always do. Starts cautiously nibbling like he’s pitching to Murderers Row in a tight game no matter who he’s pitching to and then walks guys. Just throw strikes at least till they get themselves on base once or twice. Odds are they’ll get themselves out.
  10. Bremer finally identified the unvaccinated albatrosses we have on the team but I didn’t quite catch it.
  11. Could it be his latest thing to go wrong is eyes? He keeps popping up on pitches he was crushing.
  12. Miranda bad throw to the pitcher costs. Bad footwork. Miranda not come off the bag to take that throw and save a run. Miranda is choky on defense. Larnach pitched in with a bone-headed base running play to cost a run.
  13. The key moment in this Memorial Day game was Sanchez running Schoop back to third. If he had the ball in his mitt instead of his bare hand he could have tagged Schoop out when he flopped out of bounds. Instead he had to turn his body way around to make the tag.
  14. Miranda opposite of clutch. Missed when he got a fat pitch. Two check swings on pitches he should have made early to strike out.
  15. Just went over the fifty pitch mark to get two outs. New pitcher up from the minors proves up with a bonehead defensive play. Why didn’t Rocco take Cano out when the left hander comes up with BL? Cuz he likes to leave a guy in pitching right-handed when he can’t throw strikes and is over forty pitches to get one out? Bang zoom three runs. The whole day shaped up to be like a forfeit.
  16. I don’t understand the wailing and gnashing of teeth about him being sent down. I too originally thought Miranda but then it’s pointed out that Lewis can’t play other positions so much. Surely he can play second but St Paul and playing every day and some reps at third or outfield or whatever might be best for a while. He’s still young, lost all that time, needs to play and has one of THE best shortstops playing his position . He’ll be a Twin SOON.
  17. If only Lewis could play all infield positions. Like first. Then Miranda rightfully could have been the one to go down. Lewis will be back soon one way or the other. Sano “poor start.” Could just leave off “start.” A guy that strikes out about every time is an albatross. If he somehow can’t be sent down until he can hit maybe he can be on some rehab the rest of the year learning to hit? Maybe be reborn again next year strong.
  18. Isn’t there a place to make and read comments about the game in progress in real-time?

    1. Brock Beauchamp

      Brock Beauchamp

@Montdak Pinned to the top of the Minnesota Twins Talk forum there is always a game thread. Sometimes it's not up until later in the day but it's always there by game time.

  19. How did we lose? Lewis at bat, bases loaded or first and third.  No outs. Asked to bunt.  Twice.  Jabs at it twice. Why ask?  Nobody can bunt any more. What’s so hard about “catching” the ball with soft hands and give rather than jabbing?

The other one is Urshela with bases loaded and no outs and the pitcher struggling to throw strikes. Figured he’d take a pitch.  Instead check swing double play.

  20. Yeah I agree but I’m really just trying to see if I’m really registered and could comment . At all but really aiming at today’s Cleveland game. They make it like pulling teeth.
