    Kudos to Sizemore. The Twins outfield also suddenly looked much better after Wallner went to St. Paul.

    Luis Fragoza - is it correct that we got him as a free agent? How, as it seems like he should have been drafted? Maybe I missed it from another story.

    Irony - we want some of trade chips to play great so they have the highest trade value and then those players suddenly play so well that we can't trade them because we are in the race for the playoffs?

    I think he needs more consistent (non-injury time) at AAA. Bring him up in late August if he's hammering the ball. Bonus then is if he gets rookie of the year in 2027, the Twins get an extra 1st round pick (unless the new CBA would eliminate that). Those are gold for teams like the Twins.

    Thanks for the article. I do disagree about the Twins surprising starting pitching depth. There were articles asking if we should trade from the great pitching depth. Smartly, the Twins didn't trade and that depth has been needed due to injuries.

    Fans don't think the Twins ownership is trying to win. Worse yet, they think that ownership is just trying to -make money off of us with the low payroll. For both, a great example is the Twins bullpen. Thus, low attendance.

    Even though the sample size is small this year, if I read correctly, his career sample also ranks him low. He may just not be a good fielder. Athleticism doesn't always translate to being a good fielder - see Keaschall.

    Rays sign Jake Cave to a minor league contract and Max Kepler is activated from the suspension list by the D-Backs.

    I love how Mendez is playing this year. The problem still is that he is limited to LF and DH, is supposedly bad on defense out in LF, and is a singles hitter.

    Sprock gets the headlines but 3 for 3 with 3 walks doesn't get him hitter of the day? Surprising. I also I thought the league Fort Myers is in has always been a pitchers league. What's going on this year with the football scores?

    Rosario probably makes Wallner look good in the outfield, and that isn't good. Therefore, he is well behind Jenkins, Rodriguez and Roden, and probably Gonzalez. Thus, to answer your question, Rosario isn't on the Twins prospects radar right now and won't be added to the 40 man roster at the end of the year.

    Correct, he won't skip AAA. Not many catchers do. His issue is how he plays defense at catcher. Lot easier to make it to the majors if that's good. I think he still has a lot of work to do.

    Houston is ready for AA, where the real next test comes. Conquer that like Culpepper and we really do have something here.

    I'm most disappointed in Keaschall's defense than anything. He looks Julien-esque.

    Rosario - Mendez already got called up ahead of him, Roden's back, and Jenkins is coming. I think he missed his window with his poor start with Wallner and Gonzalez also needing playing time now.

    If I have to pick one it's Kreidler. He's the best on defense and plays both SS and CF, a combo that's hard to find.

    Defensively he sure needs to go work on it in AAA (see two errors which allows two Tigers to score already tonight). I'm just not sure he gets better in that area though. As others have said, his bat has been good lately.

    Is Kody Clemens here to stay in the future, in a backup role somewhat similar to what Willi Castro was? He can play 5 positions and is decent to good on defense. Seems to hustle and be a good teammate.
