    If not for the A's, the Royals would be the historically bad team this season. Winnable series again, hopefully the result is better than last weekend against the Nats,

    It's kinda nice they have 2 #5 starters to choose from right now. Even with Maeda not looking so good it doesn't really cause any sort of "negative" impact in my opinion. Best case scenario Maeda was 2020 version, worst case, he either doesn't cut it (or gets hurt) and they have guys like Ober and Varland who look to be good options at the back end of the rotation.

    It seems like this team has been built around defense but they've gotta execute defensively and can't give away runs when they've not been consistent at scoring runs 😉 I do agree Gallo would have made that play. He has been a surprise with his play at 1st.

    The plays that aren't made have doomed this team in recent years. Think back to game 2 in the 2020 playoffs against the Astros. If they're gonna change the narrative (especially against the Yankees) they have to execute much better.

    Not brining in Lopez seemed like an arrogant move, thinking the Nationals weren't gonna be able to touch Jax. That was as frustrating a loss as I've seen all season.

    Even with the loss they're still guaranteed a split in the ballpark that has been their kryptonite. Let's win tomorrow and win the series and this will be forgotten.

    And to add, Lopez also isn't the closer, I think being a setup man is definitely a better role for him.

    I predicted a bounce back year for him going into this season and couldn't be happier for him. Hopefully it continues through the season.
