  1. I think Jorge Lopez bounces back and has a better season. I think the full off season with the Twins and being around other guys like Correa, Vazquez, and the other Puerto Ricans will help him feel more comfortable ad confident. On a side note his little son who has significant health problems just started playing on a basketball team. One of the nicest things I've seen in the off-season.
  2. I couldn't agree with you more. It wasn't his fault he had numerous concussions that forced his move to first base where he didn't produce at the same level. The guy is a role model on doing things the right way and the Twins were privileged that he played his entire career in Minnesota. I would much rather see a guy like Mauer in Cooperstown than guys who were as you put it, complete scumbags.
  3. Gordon's development last season was one of the few bright spots. I hope this season brings better base running and less outs on the basepaths.
  4. My wife is Puerto Rican and has lived in the USA since 2016, whenever she travels anywhere for work, and they ask her where she's from, her answer is Puerto Rico (but lives in Kansas). But yes, you're right about the quality of the team, I think their pitching is the only area where they may come intro trouble but hey have a team that can win the whole thing.
  5. All the homeruns didn't equal any postseason success. I would lean yes but it sure was fun to watch.
  6. Hopefully Miranda doesn't become an error machine at 3rd.
  7. There is also the cheating controversy that shadows him, we will see if anyone else involved e.g. Beltran and Altuve, get in.
  8. Celestino needs a full season in AAA to learn how to hit and play defense,
  9. Three batting titles, an MVP, 3 Gold Gloves, 5 Silver Sluggers. It's hard for me to fathom that there are people out there who don't believe he is a Hall of Famer. He may not be first ballot, but he definitely gets in.
  10. Well let's go for a drink together that weekend! 😅
  11. He is the one player I would actually go to Cooperstown to see inducted.
  12. I've seen him get hits on the first pitch and also turn an at bat into 8 or 9 pitches. Both are good Arraez at bats. Will definitely be missed.
  13. Lopez had several off the field situations going on that I believe impacted his performance on the field. I think he bounces back and has a good season either as set up or as closer.
  14. I can remember a game I went to in Kansas City in 2021 and Arraez had an at bat and kept fouling off pitch after pitch and the Royals fans all around me were getting so annoyed at it, I can't remember many of the details but that was one thing I will never forget. He sure did give us some fun at bats and was never gonna go down easily (like we saw in the one with Diaz in the OP). Looking forward to seeing him with the Marlins.
  15. You do realize you can keep scrolling if you disagree with the content of my posts instead of always feeling the need to reply.😉I've seen enough games where he fouled off pitch after pitch after pitch and eventually either worked a walk or got a hit to base my opinion.
  16. Giving Buxton the extra at bats makes sense since the leadoff hitter gets something like 20+ extra at bats over the season, but I would rather see him hit with runners on since he has power and doesn't hit into double plays.
  17. Polanco would be my pick as well, with Correa then Buxton.
  18. Yep, #17 in the AL just like I said. Thanks for corroborating my info with another site that you deem more reliable!
  19. Great story with him beating cancer as a kid and doing so well for stretches last season. Best of luck in Miami!
