  1. The Keystone Cops are letting Bundy down.
  2. If Al Bundy starts getting in trouble again, so much for saving the pen...Peg has to get out there and yank him!
  3. WOW...time to get Bundy outta there!
  4. I think Ted Bundy is gonna kill us.
  5. For the little and occasional upside we get from him, I'm more than ready to see how we do with him OUT of the line up. I gotta believe that we'll be better without him.
  6. Yep, this is what was reported by the Roc...Sano initially hurt the knee in the celebration, then aggravated it in the TB game.
  7. Just saw this. I guess it's a good news, bad news kind of thing. You never want to see a guy get hurt and go down, but by the same token...it gets him out of the line up for a while. He was stinking up the joint.
  8. Very cool! Glad you and your family had a good time.
  9. For me, I've always like Larnach's swing better than Kirilloff's. I honestly believe he'll turn out to be the better player of the two. Hopefully, Kirilloff gets his wrist back to full health, and BOTH of them get playing time.
  10. Someone is gonna seriously hurt with that stupid wall in LF. I can't see how that got approved. I read that they moved the distance back, but I hadn't seen exactly what they did. Not only is it dangerous, they took HR's away from their righty batters.
  11. Yep, the Roc said Sano might need some kind of surgical procedure. They'll figure out what to do in the next few days. No one likes to see a guy get hurt, but this could very well be the end of the line for the strike out show. At least for a while.
  12. I just read that the Bal-delli Lama said Sano's knee might need surgery. They'll figure out what to do in the next few days. He might be out a while.
  13. Agreed...good luck to him. I'd be excited to see ANYONE play other than Sano.
  14. Sano and Garlick to the IL. They also brought up lefty pitcher Jovani Moran
  15. Miranda plays 3B and 1B and throws/bats right.
  16. Haven't seen anything about Garlick, but they did send Sands back down. That was expected. It looks like Gray will be activated by the end of the week too. Must be some moves coming.
  17. Depth is key. When's the last time we could say that? Usually, we're scraping the barrel to find an arm or two that we could throw out there.
  18. Who could've predicted, that our starting pitching would be this decent? Hopefully, this doesn't jinx it, but all of a sudden, we've got a pretty solid starting staff. Mainly young guys too. Ryan, Ober, Paddack...Winder has been good in relief and he looks good today too. I think I'd keep him in the rotation. Add in the vets we picked up, who've also done fine, and that's even without Gray out there. They have to go to 14 pitchers by tomorrow too.
  19. It definitely looks like he's changed his approach and trying to go the other way, instead of being pull happy. It's working.
  20. LOVE it when they string together some hits and jump out in front like this!
  21. I don't think any of us should be worried about Correa. Not for one second. He's been starting to hit the last few games, and his defense is off the charts. We've got much bigger holes in the line up to worry about...Sano in particular, and Jeffers and Polanco to a lesser extent. I'm confident Polanco will turn it around. Kep is starting to come out of his slump a little bit now too.
  22. Yeah...I'm an old geezer, but Archer is just a little too much of a "hot dog" for my liking. Everything about him...the mannerisms, the cow gum chewing, the dancing all over the mound stuff. I just don't care for all of it. If he pitches great, ok...I'll tolerate him, but it wouldn't bother me too much if he went bye-bye.
  23. Sano wasn't even in the same zip code with the pitch on that last K!
  24. Very interesting article. I don't think there is any definitive 100% correct answer to the question. It's probably some of both. Most likely many more factors too. Everyone likes to win and winning creates a good atmosphere in the clubhouse. Even if all of them in there can't get along and there is no "chemistry". If everyone loves all their teammates, it makes for a good clubhouse, but not necessarily a good team. Talent, dedication, respect, and accountability are all important. A lot of us remember the old Oakland A's from the early 70's. By all accounts, most of them hated one another, but they were extremely talented and had a helluva team. How about the "We are Fam-A-Lee" Pirates in the 70's? Supposedly, they all loved one another They had great teams. There are plenty of examples of similar teams, that went both ways. My feeling is...it can't be forced, it has to be natural and organic. It has to evolve on it's own. Business/companies often try to do the same type scenario. Talk about trying to force it...I used to be a supervisor for McKesson in Eagan, and they would send us on these team building seminars to build "chemistry", where they locked us away with members of a few of their other facilities, in a hotel for several days, and then we went through a whole bunch of these ridiculous classes/exercises/tests/games/etc to bring us closer, and work toward a common goal. It was some of the most idiotic, pointless, childish crap I've ever been through in my life. It didn't make us do our jobs any better...we all knew how to do that. All it did as far as bringing us together, was make us hate the stupid seminars!
