  1. The Twins should shop everyone. Take the offer that nets you the best players back. They could replace at least two of Sano, Rosario, Kepler, Polanco, Arreaz or Buxton by playing their young players
  2. I am with you. If we get rid of Rosario we are not a better team. The chances that any of Larnach, Kiriloff or Rooker are as good as Rosario next year is low. This team should be in win now mode. Nelson Cruz is not getting any younger
  3. Everyone wants to move on from Rosario. Kind of reminds me of Aaron Hicks right before we traded him for a serial killer. Rosario's situation of having a one year deal may be viewed as a positive by some organization who needs a quality left handed hitting OF and cannot make a long term commitment this off season. He has some trade value and we will regret it. JMHO
  4. Is it time to move on? Hell No - he was our only offense in the playoffs. When father time catches up is when the Twins should move on. They can absorb a year- year and half worth of salary and replace him with a prospect that needs an opportunity. But until then we stay with the big man. He is the best Twins hitter since Kirby Puckett. The combination of power and average cannot be taken for granted.
  5. I was in Fort Myers when the season was cancelled. That was way more disappointing than losing the two playoff games. At least we had a season that was for the most part enjoyable until the familiar unhappy ending. Thanks Ted for your work
  6. I think it will be Framber Valdez for sure. He has pitched very well this season. Pitches deep into games, strikes out a lot of hitters and is left handed. I would be very surprised if he is not the game 2 starter.
  7. A lot of reasons to be excited for the playoffs 1. We are not playing the Yankees 2. Our starting pitching is really good and healthy 3. We are not playing the Yankees 4. If Buxton and Donaldson can play our hitters are pretty healthy 5. We are not playing the Yankees
  8. Bailey has 245 games pitched in MLB but zero in relief. I wonder if he refuses to be used out of bullpen which eliminates his value in the post season. Just speculating since I too am a little surprised that he would not be considered decent depth just in case a starter is injured
  9. We have plenty of salary room for next year I would sign Cruz. Best hitter we have had in a long time. If there is demand for DH's it may help the market for Rooker or any other surplus outfielder.
  10. I think Odorizzi, Hill and Homer Bailey factor in to the first round bullpen
  11. Great line on Eddie. I wish Alcala would pitch more regularly. He fights his control and not sure it helps him to have so many days between appearances. May happen next year
  12. The other thing I like about using a reliever for two innings is there is a little risk each time you bring in a reliever that he does not have his stuff. I thought Wisler looked to be struggling with his command right away today. If a reliever looks sharp why not leave him in for a second inning.
  13. Starting pitchers seem to even go fewer innings in the playoffs. Multi inning relievers will be very valuable. I think Wisler and Stashak will be candidates also. Wisler did not throw well today but he has been good for the most part.
  14. Especially versus White Sox. They torture lefties and are only slightly above average versus righties
  15. It does not matter that they changed the playoff scenario. You know we will play the Yankees and I am looking forward to it.
  16. The front office does seem more comfortable trading for minor league pitching prospects than drafting them. Duran, Alcala, Chalmers, Smeltzer and Valimont are decent acquisitions. As far as drafting Balazovic and Canterino look like their top selections. I do think they have added much needed depth to the farm system. This off season is critical in my opinion. A few of these prospects are reaching the play them or trade them time.
  17. He was already warmed up before Buxton hit the home run to make it a four run lead. Looking through the bullpen usage chart I am not sure what other option he had.
  18. I really wish they would call up Duran and give him a start instead of the bullpen game.
  19. Nothing in 2020 has been normal so why not win it with no additions. Good to see you writing again.
  20. PLAYOFF'S? - This team has lost six in a row. Can't hit any left handed pitcher, Has one consistent starter. All you have to do is walk Cruz. I wouldn't worry about Pineda pitching in the play offs
  21. Huge Win - Bullpen not in good shape for tommorrow but Bieber pitching anyways. Berrios on Wednesday. This first game was very important. I think Clevinger will throw Wednesday but we shall see
  22. Are there any command statistics? That is where Dobnak really stands out and where Berrios is lacking.
  23. They should target Taylor Rogers brother Tyler. We are the Twins
