  1. Unbelievable this isn't nationally televised; regular tv for all to see.
  2. Fair points...I would venture to say attendance would slightly below 30k per game perhaps 30k per game had they went that route. Should be a very entertaining stretch run. WIN TWINS!
  3. I'd take two arms for the pen...still the area that needs most improvement. Imagine if the starting staff had an injury free Pablo...it's time to ADD to the roster. Keep Jeffers and Ryan and lets go...
  4. The chatter is engaging...its great they are in the position they are. Should be an interesting few days and throughout the remainder of the season.
  5. Price of poker just went up if they decide to trade him. Stay tuned!
  6. I'd say the Buck Ninety Fan Club Inspiration but he is already employed.
  7. Great gig if you can get it and he got it...
  8. Does Joe have to approve that $50k expenditure or does Derek have the ok to approve it on the expense report...
  9. You are thinking logically...Pohlad's are thinking about the Benjamins...I agree with your overall take.
  10. I'd say the Price is Right with this move...Pohlad's ok'd paying the low price of admission.
  11. Funny...reminds me of the line in Moneyball where Brad Pitt makes one of his trades...And I want you to give me ______beverages so my players don't have to use the pay machine in the clubhouse.
  12. Spending that kind of $$$ they might need to ask the new ownership folks to take on some of that so it doesn't add on to their existing debt.
  13. I'd be interested in knowing what 'goals' Falvey has set for himself. Yes, the blame game train is out of track.
  14. Dodgers also have in the neighborhood of 1 BILLION in deferred contracts that stretches out the next 20 years or so.
  15. Are there 10 million Twins fans around the world that would be willing to contribute $3 each to make this $30,000,000 dream a reality? Had to do it...enjoy the day all.
  16. Resigning Sonny after '23 would have been one of those moves from the front office to show the players in the clubhouse and fans that they were serious about being competitive moving forward, Yes, other moves would have likely been necessary as well. My guess is attendance would have been where the powers that be would have liked to seen it be last season. Players didn't perform down the stretch last season and they need to own that. If they had Gray it would be great to see a rotation of Gray, Lopez or Lopez Gray along with Ryan and Ober as your top four. No doubt this offseason will be pivotal. Time will tell.
  17. Joe to team...hey guys about that IA trip, I had an idea. I am thinking of car pooling. It would be a great opportunity to get to know each other. I was thinking of stopping at Pizza Ranch along the way for lunch...the organization will pick up 50% of the tab. Really looking forward this opportunity in from of the world to show what a great organization I am operating. WIN TWINS!
  18. All they had to do in '24 was leave payroll alone...I believe in '23 it was 163 or so...no one was expecting 200+, just like no one was expecting a 30 decrease.
  19. Well said. If they have a PR person advising that person is not doing their job. If they don't they need to hire one. They just don't get it.
  20. Is it possible the offer(s) made were significantly less than 1.7 they wanted...another shake your head moment in being a Twins fan.
