So glad we pulled off the win tonight. Got home and had to get the kids to bed so didn't get to follow at the end. I was listening when Willie hit his HR and we took the lead. Nice to find out our bullpen held up. Great efforts by Varland, Thielbar, and Duran!

Thank goodness, but that pitch count is going to catch up to him quick.

Sometimes it's the tough pitchers that we make work though. Let's make him look unspectacular tonight!

Ah that's fine, given their level of play lately. Maybe they play .500 ball, I think Cleveland going 10-8 or 11-7 might even be a stretch. I expect to Twins to play at least .500 or a little better the rest of the way. Tampa will be a good test, maybe Cincy will put up a fight if they are still contending. Twins can just worry about themselves now and be in their best form for post season.

It always sucks to lose one, but even feels like more of a shame with how excellent Pablo pitched.

What a gem of a performance for Pablo! Now get him the dang win! I don't care if it's only 1 run.

Wow, they brought Lopez back out! 13Ks!!!
  13. Mortimerkenny21
    Indeed.

Maybe they didn't hear me the first time, Pablo kept us clean again. 3 up 3 down. Let's go offense, run(s) please.
  15. Mortimerkenny21
Pablo strikes out the side, now give him some run(s)!
  16. Mortimerkenny21
Right, time for that 2 out clutch hitting. Give Pablo some cushion.

Slow day on the game thread, bottom of the 3rd and we haven't hit the 2nd page yet! Vikes must be taking some attention away. Nice leadoff hit Vazquez!

I agree, my best guess would be that Rocco loves the kid, not only because he is putting up great numbers and directly having a hand in won games. But spreading his positivity and energy to the whole team. I think a manager would accepting of that.

Let's run up the score tomorrow, let Pablo cruise comfortable through 6 or 7 innings. Have Headrick and or Winder finish the game and let the pen rest. Keep playing strong Sept baseball Twins!
