I like the claiming of Waddell - he looks like the classic starter moved to reliever and got much better results. Once he moved to relieving in AAA in 2019, his K/9 jumped up considerably. He got hurt by the juiced ball of 2019, but they should keep working on him as a reliever and see if he can eventually pan out. He's got 2 options remaining, which is a very nice thing to have. Gibaut looks like a bigger project to me, as he's always been a reliever from his first days in the minors, but he's consistently had problems with walks for a good chunk of his career. He's got one option year left, so that's nice, but it will be difficult to fix him. There's really nothing to lose here with these two, and there's no guarantee they'll be on the 40 man roster all winter/spring. They should certainly not be treated as replacements to Clippard/Romo/May, but more of Littell. And thankfully neither are out of options, so they can be stashed in AAA if need be.
