  1. Twins still have a big hole in left field; Larnach is as good a fielder as Sanchez is a catcher, all the other rookies are a crap shoot. With Correa, Twins may win 80 some games but who knows what odd (not good ) move the Twins will make next. (The should never have let Cruz get away.)
  2. Jeffers defense is sub-average , he and Sanchez will get along well.
  3. Well it is only the first game of the season, wait, it is Boston's first game too. It is going to be a long, long season.
  4. If they do not get a above average Short Stop, their defense will drop back to the abysmal 2020 level. With Cruz, Donaldson, Garver gone, they will not have the power batting line-up so things do not look good., but perhaps the new coaches can make a difference. The team has the same people in the office that brought in top line veterans for 2019 and created a top line team, but now they act like a Chinese Fire Drill.
  5. Yeh, that is a great way to attract player treat them like you are their pimp, ?
  6. The Twins over the decades have picked up some players that put in pretty much their best year/s in a short time with the Twins, but then that depends on the coaching staff to a great degree. A good one makes them glad to be here.
  7. Yes, but we got a SS who is above average talent in a trade -- NO WAIT -- the Twins dumped him for two sub-average players; the haters ? will try to brag up the derelicts they now have but as the old saying goes: Good luck Charlie.?
  8. The Twins did that last year; Shoemaker failed, until he pitched for the Saints; Happ was very good for St. Louis and not for the Twins, now maybe that says more about Twins coaching but pitchers are not blind and after the way they dumped Shoemaker, they are not stupid either.
  9. Who would really want to pitch for a team that has sent most of its best players to other teams. I think J.A. Happ is still available.
  10. Well you can also look at this this way comparing the same three years for Donaldson to Urshela; Donaldson put up these numbers in his mid-thirties; Urshela put up these numbers in his late twenties. Now compare Donaldson numbers in his late twenties to Urshela in his late twenties, this is a losing proposition.
  11. No I showed your statement was bollocks and you do not like it, que sera, sera.
  12. One of the past three years at Third base he was above average , his 43 gave season. WOW, the one year he played over one hundred games , his range was WAY below league average, just what the Twins need.
  13. I don't care if he hits.200 if his fielding skills still makes him one of the top 3 or 4 short stops in the league. As the Twins lost the Bomba Squad, they are going to need defense more than ever; I bet right now Buxton is wishing he had held out longer.
  14. They will wish they had kept Astudillo.
  15. Who, the Yankees?
  16. Ushela's bat and fielding skills are far below what Donaldson had, there is no one the Twins have that are near that = BIG hole.
  17. Yep especially with that hole a third and behind the plate, just what the fans needed. 1
  18. In this case it did mean superior fielding skills to what the Twins had/have.
  19. You mean not competing this year, next year, the next year, the next year... back to the seventies, only with a team that is not even 500 capable.
  20. We had a excellent defense with one above average bat and another who was no worse than what they dumped talent for. Now we have holes at third and short stop, even if they get Story they will be far below what they had last year. They still have nothing in left field even a decent shadow of what they let go, stupidity has just rewards.
  21. GEE, now we will have poor fielding skills to go with sub-average pitching, BRILLIANT, fans stayed home last year and more will stay home this year. 100 losses, every fans dream.
