  1. I could not watch for a bit, why the odd player changes?
  2. Sadly a goodly number of Twins players that have good bat, are not good fielders.

    75 RBI or 75 RBIs?

I am wrong in simply calling it an acronym, an acronym is a word and RBI is not a word, so I had grab my college rules of correct grammar and: - Most readers probably know that an acronym is an invented word made up of the initial letters or syllables of other words, like NASA or NATO. Fewer probably know that an initialism is a type of acronym that cannot be pronounced as a word, but must be read letter-by-letter, like FBI or UCLA. But even at that , in correct grammar, in an acronym the vowel is the plural form, so there is not s in a plural version, but as English is one of the few languages where the verb most often comes before the noun, for the verb to follow screws with most peoples minds
  4. I do not have to, defensive numbers speak for them selves.
  5. Fifth inning is over, will the Twins bats go silent?
  6. Why not, he is better than Jeffers.

    75 RBI or 75 RBIs?

No you must be kidding, it is an acronym and there are singular and plural acronyms, you have shown the truth in my statement.
  8. Gordon is an inept outfielder far too often, Arraez is inept at first, Beckham has been the only left fielder to throw a runner out at home, but the umps cancelled it, Miranda is like Gordon , you hold your breath on fielding plays, if Celestino's was a good as his speed in the outfield, he would be 100 percent better, simple fact Twins field beyond 3rd and Short Stop, is a crap-shoot. Cave is not the problem, Beckham is not the problem, pitching is not the problem so many want to make it, simply performing basic baseball tasks, especially hitting is the problem.
  9. In exchange for what, more pipe dreams? I am surprised Beckham has seemed to have forgotten how to swing a bat, but then a lot say bring up player Q from the minors to replace player P, well minor numbers rarely follow the player to the Majors.

    75 RBI or 75 RBIs?

I don't not know if that been such a minor aspect with todays youths command of grammar already in the pits.
  11. Twins already are paying, or dealing with the results of shots in the dark, two bring more shots in the dark and standing with fingers crossed hoping would be obtuse and the owners would see fewer and fewer in the stands which is what they really care about. Back in the seventies the Twins brought in a lot of newbies, their record speaks for itself.
  12. Well , the Twins now will face the Royals who just shut-out the Dodgers, we shall see.
  13. THAT is the Twins problem, not the pitching, we could have the best two starting and relief pitchers in the league and would be no better unless they threw a shut-out every game, although the grade school baseball defense, especially today, is an embarassment.
  14. I'd take Cave's fielding over Gordon any day.
  15. Kansas City beat, shut out, the Dodgers.
  16. Twins lead has shrunken to only 13.5 over Kansas City; good thing Detroit retrogessed from last year.
  17. No runs, no wins; one can blame the pitching but it is sad when pitchers , far too often, are dealing with a 1-3 run lead.
  18. The big difference is the Vikings, then, had the defense capable of doing it, usually.
  19. All the saving face for Gordon early in the game was pathetic.
  20. Twins bats generally shut down after the 5th inning, especially if they are winning.
  21. The throw beat the runner but was off-line like 98.6 percent of throws from left field regardless of player -- OH except Beckham and the umps nullified that one.
  22. I rarely watch Vikings game any more, so no decision for me.
  23. Why was he not still on the bench?
